    Dundee 0-0 Cove Rangers

Excellent play from Alex Jakubiak, who drills a brilliant ball across goal.

Strike partner Zach Robinson can't make a clean enough connection on the slide. Unlucky.

Cove are just looking to take the sting out this. They are certainly taking their time with throw-ins.

Tonight is the fourth and final meeting between the sides this season.

The first was an impressive 3-1 win for Cove back in October, but Dundee have gone on to win the following two encounters (3-0 at Dens in February and 2-0 at Balmoral last month).

Dundee manager Gary Bowyer tells BBC Scotland: "We've just focussed on what we can control. It's been no different this week and will be no different next week.

"We know tonight will be a difficult game. We're really looking forward to it. The fans have been terrific all season, they'll play their part."

Cove Rangers boss Paul Hartley tells BBC Scotland: "If we can get anything tonight it's a real bonus for us, we know we're massive underdogs.

"We've not had many clean sheets this year, that was really important last week. We'll have to try and be as positive as we can tonight."

There are very few games you watch in the Championship and you're left disappointed. It's set up to be a fantastic weekend.

I think if Dundee win tonight, they win the league.

  9. How Cove can secure survivalpublished at 19:30 British Summer Time 28 April 2023

    Dundee v Cove Rangers (19:45)

In short, they can't this weekend.

They can, however, give themselves a huge boost by getting a positive result tonight.

Even a draw would take Cove above second-bottom Hamilton going into the final fixtures of the season next Friday.

A win would move them level on points with eighth-placed Arbroath, who go to Partick Thistle on Saturday.

It's a huge night for Paul Hartley's men.

  10. How do Dundee win title this weekend?published at 19:26 British Summer Time 28 April 2023

    Dundee v Cove Rangers (19:45)

Firstly, they have to win tonight.

Then it's over to second-placed Queen's Park, who face a tough trip to Morton on Saturday.

Defeat for Owen Coyle's men would guarantee Dundee the title. Even a draw for Queen's would all but secure the league for the Dens side, who would hold a three-point lead and a far superior goal difference.

But what all neutrals want is for it to go all the way to a title-decider next Friday at Ochilview, where Queen's will welcome Dundee. What an occasion that would be!

Gary Bowyer names an unchanged Dundee side despite being held to a draw in Inverness last Saturday.

As for Cove, it's two switches after ending a 10-game winless run last weekend with a crucial three points at Arbroath.

Morgyn Neill, goalscorer at Gayfield last Saturday, and Shay Logan come into the starting XI as Michael O'Halloran and Leighton McIntosh drop out.

The penultimate weekend of a mad Championship season kicks off tonight at Dens Park as leaders Dundee welcome bottom-side Cove Rangers.

Victory for the hosts might well result in the champagne getting popped tomorrow (more on that in a bit), but there's also so much at stake for the relegation-threatened visitors.
