    Congratulations to Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

They go into the Scottish Cup final after a thoroughly deserved win over Falkirk.

Incredible, given they actually lost in the fourth round, only to get a reprieve when it turned out Queen's Park fielded an ineligible player.

We'll be back for Rangers v Celtic at Hampden tomorrow. That should be a real humdinger.

Meanwhile, you can follow this afternoon's Championship action here.

  2. McGlynn 'proud' of beaten Falkirkpublished at 14:39 British Summer Time 29 April 2023

    FT: Falkirk 0-3 Inverness CT

Falkirk manager John McGlynn on Viaplay: "They aren't the type of team you want to give up an early goal against. They're very, very good.

"We put a lot into that game and I'm very proud, but nonetheless we're out.

"Good luck to Inverness in the final, they were very clinical today."

Falkirk will have a lot of questions. Have they played the occasion rather than the game? I don't think they gave John McGlynn the best version of themselves. They didn't work hard enough to win the ball back when they lost it or to nullify the threat of Inverness.

  4. 'It couldn't have gone any better'published at 14:31 British Summer Time 29 April 2023

    FT: Falkirk 0-3 Inverness CT

"It couldn't have gone any better," Inverness CT striker Billy Mckay tells BBC Sportsound.

"Falkirk had their chances but we were ruthless today.

"When it was announced we were back in the competition, I think it was written for us to go on a run. We could have been out, but now we're in the final.

"We've played two Premiership teams and today was a bit different with us as favourites - and we handled it really well."

  5. 'I said go and have your memories'published at 14:25 British Summer Time 29 April 2023

    FT: Falkirk 0-3 Inverness CT

Inverness Caledonian Thistle manager Billy Dodds on BBC One Scotland: "I thought we played a lot better in the second half.

"We were quite lucky to be two up at half time, and I told them to go and have a better second half. And we did that.

"The boys were solid and saw it out really well.

"I said to them to go and have your memories. When you're an old codger like me, you can tell your families.

"They can do that now, they were magnificent, especially in the second half.

"It's going to be difficult against one of the Old Firm, but I'd never rule anything out. We're looking forward to the final."

  6. 'Mckay Inverness' most dangerous man'published at 14:21 British Summer Time 29 April 2023

    FT: Falkirk 0-3 Inverness CT

"Falkirk's chances come through sloppiness from Inverness," says Aberden captain Graeme Shinnie on BBC Scotland.

"Every time Inverness went forward, they looked dangerous. Billy Mckay is the most dangerous guy in the box and he will not turn those chances down. Inverness were ruthless, and that shows why they are in the form they're in."

Billy Dodds' side can't allow thoughts to drift to the final just yet.

Caley Thistle are in the mix for the play-offs, sitting third in the Championship, and they'll be hoping to go all the way in that fight for a Premiership return.
