Everton manager Brian Sorensen speaking to Sky Sports: "We're expecting a really good Chelsea team, we need to stay alive in the game in the first half and if we can do that we have a good chance of getting something today. We also need to be prepared for their ruthlessness in the transitions.

"If we get something today, it is because we are defending well and get opportunities on their goal to get ahead of the press."

Chelsea manager Emma Hayes speaking to Sky Sports about making five changes: "We have to [make changes], we have to keep freshness on the pitch. I could see the other day without the changes that we looked a bit sluggish. I want a greater level of intensity from the players from the start."

On being in a title race with Manchester United: "We have always been chasing all season, always been games behind so nothing is different. We have to focus on the game today, nothing else."

Chelsea have won each of the last six league meetings between these sides, scoring 20 goals in those games at an average of 3.3 per match.

Manchester City's title hopes may have hit the skids earlier today but Chelsea's fate remains in their own hands.

A win this evening would move them above City into second, four points behind Manchester United with two games in hand.

To make matters worse for Reading, Brighton are now five points clear of the relegation zone after beating West Ham.

Melissa Phillips' side are almost safe leaving Reading to battle it out with Leicester and Tottenham to stay up.

At the other end of the table it was a worrying day for Reading as they were thrashed at home by Aston Villa.

Rachel Daly scored a brilliant hat-trick to take the lead in the race for the golden boot and leave Kelly Chambers' side two points from safety with two games remaining.

United's win put them six points above Manchester City and that is how it stayed after Liverpool shocked Gareth Taylor's side at Prenton Park.

That could be that for City in the title race and even their Champions League chances are suddenly look in the balance.

First up were leaders Manchester United who maintained their push for the Women's Super League title with victory over Tottenham.

Zecira Musovic replaces Ann-Katrin Berger in goal and Maren Mjelde comes in for Jess Carter at the back, while midfielders Sophie Ingle and Jelena Cankovic are chosen ahead of Melanie Leupolz and Erin Cuthbert.

Further forwards, Johanna Rytting Kaneryd starts instead of Lauren James.

Defender Katrine Veje and midfielder Aurora Galli replace Lucy Hope (illness) and Jess Park (shoulder), who are both unavailable.

Meanwhile, Rikke Sevecke comes in for Elise Stenevik at the back.

It's been quite the day of WSL action already but we're back with one more hugely important game.

Chelsea are hunting a fifth title in six seasons and while they start the day in third, seven points behind leaders Manchester United, they have three games in hand.

Win those and those go top, slip up and United - with their superior goal difference - are in pole position to win their first WSL crown.

No margin for error for Chelsea then and tonight it is Everton standing in their way.

Chelsea could end the day in second place with a result in the late game.

A huge win for Liverpool. More tellingly a huge defeat for City.

Brighton get their second win under Melissa Phillips thanks to Kayleigh Green's goal.

The win sees them leapfrog Tottenham and Leicester to go ninth in the table.

West Ham still wait for their first WSL win of the year.

City force another corner, surely almost time to send the goalkeeper up? They don't and Liverpool half clear, the ball comes back in, Bunny Shaw has a swing at a shot and once more it's blocked by a player in red. Those defenders have been superb today.

Five added minutes on here at the Broadfield Stadium.

That'll do it. Reading remain rock bottom of the WSL table after being demolished by a Rachel Daly-inspired Aston Villa.

The England forward is up to 20 league goals this season and leads the race for the golden boot after a wonderful hat-trick.
