There's no doubt that Rashford at his best is an incredible footballer, but that 'fall over' in the Brighton box is nothing short of embarrassing

We have to hope for more of the same this half.

Superb from Luke Shaw as he gets his head to a really, really dangerous ball into the box by Brighton.

This half has started like the first ended.

Rashford extremely selfish. Once again thinking of himself and not other teammates in better positions.

    Joe

I think that's a bit harsh, Joe, he's got himself into positions where he's earned the right to shoot.

    HT: Brighton 0-0 Man Utd

Just two shots on target for Brighton and three for Manchester United but that doesn't tell the really story of a really entertaining first 45 minutes. All we are missing so far is a goal.

Lindelof is actually a brilliant CB, it's Maguire that made him look bad. Another excellent display from the Iceman

United only need nine points from six games for fourth. Not sure why people are worried about them not doing it. Liverpool left it too late.

It has been an outstanding first half.

Draws will cost Manchester United and Liverpool could well reel them in.

One of the best games I’ve watched this season. No idea how it’s still 0-0.

Another corner for Manchester United as they increase the pressure before the break but this one is cleared by Danny Welbeck.

  19. Open encounter at Brightonpublished at 20:40 British Summer Time 4 May 2023

    Brighton 0-0 Man Utd

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at The Amex Stadium

Really entertaining stuff at Brighton. Both teams going for it and there is the sense there will be plenty of opportunities at both ends before the night is out. Brighton's movement and passing is outstanding but Manchester United, and Marcus Rashford in particular, look very dangerous on the break.

  20. GREAT SAVE!published at 37 mins

    Brighton 0-0 Man Utd

Excellent link up work between Anthony Martial and Fred with the latter putting Martial in but his shot at the near post is again superbly saved by Jason Steele.
