A City corner is taken short and chipped in by Kevin de Bruyne. Manuel Akanji heads it back across for Erling Haaland, again in point-blank range for a header that the Real keeper somehow tips wide on the dive. Stunning.

Man City have been so dominant, it's like they are playing Southampton or Everton, not the best team in the world.

People say Ancelotti will have planned for this, has he really? Have they just been lucky in the first 19 minutes?

Erling Haaland really should have scored with that header. He headed it straight at Thibaut Courtois, who was able to block with his stomach. But the Norwegian was right in the pocket.

City's barrage continues as Kevin de Bruyne whips a free-kick from 30 yards out off target. He is trying to catch Thibaut Courtois out at his near post but fails.

Kevin de Bruyne is pulling away to the left to deliver balls into the box. His latest to the edge of the six-yard box is smashed away by a Real defender.

We've seen nothing of Vinicius Junior yet.

The whole goal was gaping there and he heads it straight at Courtois. He's two yards out, he just needs to go back across where the ball comes from.

That's an easy finish for someone of his ability. That's a huge opportunity.

This has been a 15-minute battering. Crucially, though, City have yet to score.

Real Madrid are a tough nut. And they have way too much experience to panic, as flapping lesser sides would here.

This is a brilliant save, but it is also a chance Erling Haaland should score. It is similar to the one he headed in at Everton at the weekend, rising early to meet a cross from the left to head the ball back across goal.

Unlike Jordan Pickford at Goodison, Thibaut Courtois makes a superb save to push the ball away.

We've yet to see Real in any kind of an attacking sense.

Kevin de Bruyne keeps up City's charge with a whipped cross that Eder Militia again gets his head to, to send the ball to his keeper.

It is clear here that Real have come to mix it. We've seen a few big tackles go in.

Soon after, Erling Haaland is put in on goal but he can't get around the keeper for a shot. Moments after that, Rodri drives into the box but pulls his shot across goal and wide.

That's why Ancelotti put Militao into the team ahead of Rudiger, he is a really physical player, good in the air and really strong.

City look to turn the screw.
