Man City 2-0 Real Madrid (Agg: 3-1)
Ruben Dias into the book. Rodrygo uses his body really well to roll the defender and draw the foul.
It gives Real a free-kick in City territory. One they can hit.

City are straight back into their groove, on the ball, stroking it around in the Real half in search of yet more openings.
Man City 2-0 Real Madrid (Agg: 3-1)
This is such a high-wire act now for Real. They have to get at City, have to commit men forward. If they do, though, they could get torn to absolute shreds.
Man City 2-0 Real Madrid (Agg: 3-1)
City won't want to change a thing. Real have to.
A big 45 ahead...

2-0 is a dangerous score line for City, will pep tinker with things in the second half? Will they stick and let Madrid get a foot on the ball, or twist and possibly give away a goal on the break?

Man City are so ruthless. Arguably the best side in Europe in the last 5 years, but never got the right combination right at crucial stages in the Champion League. This could be their year, but you can never write Real Madrid off.

This is the Champions League and one thing we know for sure is that there's every chance this tie could be flipped in a matter of minutes. City cannot rest here.

It's been one way traffic, absolutely brilliant from Manchester City. Two big goals from Bernardo Silva. I just wonder what Carlo Ancelotti is going to do at half-time, is he going to change it?
The Real Madrid players are blowing and shaking their heads, there's a lot of negativity around.
Man City are just passing them around the pitch and burning the legs and energy of the Real Madrid players.

I truly think we need to start having a conversation about whether Pep is the greatest manager of all time. Yes, Fergie was brilliant, and deserves to have been considered the best for the last two decades, but if Pep wins the treble (as he's surely now favourite to do), he must be in contention to usurp Sir Alex?

Former Real Madrid striker Michael Owen on BT Sport: City are dominating that much, everyone is running forward wanting to get involved, even the center backs are running forward. What chance have you got? This is a bigger mauling than I've ever seen.
It is also half time in the second leg of the Championship play-off semi-final between Middlesbrough and Coventry.
It remains 0-0 on the night and 0-0 in the tie. Tight.

Manchester City have blown this Madrid team away in the first half. We wondered whether City would come out of the traps and they have been totally dominant. Missed a couple of chances early on. Thibaut Courtois has had a stormer in this first half but really clever play from City.
You felt it was coming and when it did come, lovely pass from De Bruyne into Bernardo Silva who produces an exquisite finish and then a clever header for his second goal. In many respects, Man City could and should be further ahead.

Have to give props to Jack Grealish who has come a long way and is amazing for City on left wing finally. Today he has been superb and deserves an assist.

Real Madrid, the 14-time winners of the Champions League have had 28% possession in that first 45 minutes. They've had a single shot to City's 13. They simply cannot cope with the Premier League champions.
Carlo Ancelotti knows more about the game than most, but what can he do to change this?

Unreal from Manchester City.

It's all Manchester City, if they go in at 2-0 Pep Guardiola will have a word with them but it is nice on the eye.
Man City 2-0 Real Madrid (Agg: 3-1)
Real are hanging on by their fingertips.
Thibaut Courtois tips away Kevin de Bruyne's cross but only to Ilkay Gundogan. He is patient and City work it through a couple of men to Erling Haaland for a shot that selects wide.
Man City 2-0 Real Madrid (Agg: 3-1)
Bernardo Silva is after a first-half hat-trick.
Space opens up for him as he turns inside on to his left foot. The effort is decent but straight at Thibaut Courtois.

I don't think this Madrid team really have the legs to press City high up. City are happy just to draw the Madrid players out and play around them.
Man City 2-0 Real Madrid (Agg: 3-1)
You have to imagine Inter Milan's players and staff are watching this game. Javier Zanetti said last night they wanted to avoid Real in the final. You still feel that way, Javier?

Have you ever seen anyone want something so badly as Man City want to win this game? Say what you want about the riches at their disposal, but their mindset and focus is absolutely mesmerising. Madrid are being blown away.

City have not yet taken their boot off Real's throat. Kevin de Bruyne's free-kick brings a corner that the Belgian takes but sees headed clear by the visitors.
