  1. 'We could have scored more goals'published at 15:50 British Summer Time 21 May 2023

    FT: West Ham 3-1 Leeds

    West Ham United

West Ham boss David Moyes, speaking to Sky Sports: "Terrific victory. I was a bit wary after the game on Thursday night and how much we put into the game. We knuckled down, we were a bit sloppy for the opening 15 minutes but after that we got control.

"I thought them getting a goal maybe brought us to life a bit more. We did a lot of good things, we probably could have scored more goals.

"We want to keep progressing and I thought today we played well, especially in the second half. We missed some chances but I'd rather be missing them than not making them at all.

"We are not shouting about the position we are finishing in the table but we are really pleased to be in a European final. We hope we can go on and win it. The players have put in an enormous amount of work throughout the season."

West Ham players and staff are on a lap of honour and David Moyes is getting a huge cheer and ovation from the supporters.

It shows the benefit of sticking by managers sometimes in tough times with both Moyes and Steve Cooper ultimately achieving their objectives - and then some - despite being under pressure earlier in the campaign.

Southampton teenagers Kamari Doyle and Dom Ballard are sent on for their Premier League debuts.

Meanwhile, Alexis Mac Allister thunders a strike narrowly over from distance. Is there another one in this for the hosts?

Perfect weather for a Premier League title party at Etihad Stadium. Glorious sunshine and sky blue shirts everywhere as Manchester City fans bask in another triumph.

Manager Pep Guardiola has the luxury of rotating his squad and might just have selected one of the best substitutes' bench ever seen.

Not even sure Chelsea are playing for respectability today. It is too late after the abysmal season they have had.

Pleased with our win today but feel for Leeds. A great club with passionate fans. The Premier League will be the poorer if they go down.

    Colin, London

Congrats to West Ham. What a performance.

From nearly dropping out of league football in 1997, 12 years playing at an athletics track to being minutes away from securing European football. What a journey us Brighton fans have been on.

The recruitment has been fantastic. Look at Joao Canelo leaving and other players have stepped up to fill in.

Keeping players as well as bringing in new ones has been a massive part of City's success.

This would be Brighton's 18th win in 36 Premier League games this season.

They'd be four points clear of Tottenham, and 18 above Chelsea.

Their reward for an excellent campaign is getting closer.

  10. 'We could have had six or seven'published at 15:42 British Summer Time 21 May 2023

    FT: West Ham 3-1 Leeds

    West Ham United

West Ham's Declan Rice, speaking to Sky Sports: "If you look back on Thursday night, the first 15-20 took its toll on us and we were probably not 100% but as the game went on we completely dominated and in the end could have had six or seven, just wasteful with chances.

"I had a funny feeling I would score. I think it is my best goalscoring season. I made a lot of runs into the box today and I just need to keep adding that to my game.

"If you go into the last game next week and also the Europa Conference League final we need to build momentum. We have the fans behind us and that is giving us confidence."

Brighton deserve their chance in Europe. I hope their team isn't dismantled by other clubs. It's much better watching clubs grow the organic way like Brighton rather than just splashing the cash. Shows people you don't always have to spend to be successful. Brighton is a model club for all.

Into the final quarter of an hour, which Brighton will hope to see out without any further surprises.

Southampton haven't really managed to kick on after that bright spell which temporarily got them back into the contest.

  13. 'Leeds didn't have enough'published at 15:38 British Summer Time 21 May 2023

    FT: West Ham 3-1 Leeds

    Stephen Kelly
Former Tottenham defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

When Bamford went off they lost a big threat in the final third and they were too content with getting players behind the ball. Leeds didn't have enough.

West Ham were sitting off initially and I think Leeds could have taken something if they attempted to smother them.

    Brighton 3-1 Southampton

There's a break in play as Danny Welbeck, who only came on in the 65th minute, has a problem now.

Here's a nice moment for Southampton and Tino Livramento, who comes on for his first appearance since April 2022 after suffering an ACL injury here at Brighton.

    James Bree makes way.

I was at Etihad Stadium on Wednesday and Manchester City's performance levels against Real Madrid were just amazing.

I was expecting City to dominate the ball and territory but I thought Madrid would carry a threat at times, and they really didn't.

City are going to want to go out and smash Chelsea despite already sealing a hat-trick of titles.

That's what I think will happen, too. From what I have seen of Chelsea, they don't have an identity, or much of a plan. They have got some very good individual players but they are not a team and there are times when they look like a mess.

City will make some changes and bring in people like Phil Foden, Riyad Mahrez and Julian Alvarez, but they will still win easily.

    Prediction: 5-0
