    Everton 1-1 Brighton

With under 10 minutes remaining here, there is a definite 'end of season with nothing to play for' feel to this one.

Can anyone find any impetus? Everton continue to dominate the ball but Megan Walsh has been untested.

Again the goal comes from an Emma Koivisto ball in from the right. Again it lands at the feet of Taylor Hinds and this time she stabs it to Natasha Dowie at the far post.

Hannah Hampton rushes out but Dowie makes no mistake, finishing high into the net.

    Katie Stengel (37 mins)

Liverpool are level after a lovely move that all started with their own goal kick!

The visitors play out well from the back, moving the ball right to left and then back again.

They get the ball out to Emma Koivisto on the right, her ball in is deflected into the path of Taylor Hinds and the shot then ricochets off a couple of players before Katie Stengel flicks the header in.

A scrappy end to a flowing move.

    It unbelievable from Emma Hayes.

I know fans don't like to see the same team winning year after year, but it is incredibly hard to do.

It's difficult for managers and players to go again, find new motivation and lift themselves. Teams are always recruting to try and catch you and push you down.

For Chelsea and Emma Hayes to do this over a ten or eleven year period and to keep building, it is phenomenal.

    FT: Chelsea 2-0 Arsenal

    Chelsea

Chelsea goalscorer Guro Reiten to BBC Two: "The first half was brilliant, we were aggressive we won every ball. We scored two really nice goals.

"The game changed in the second half but we know how to dig deep. It was tough but an important win.

"I give my all every time I step on the pitch. It's not over yet, we still have one game to play. It's going to be a big one."

[On tonight's Manchester derby] "We're definitely watching the game, it will be interesting, two good teams you never know what will happen.

"We prepared ourselves by doing our bit."

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 14:35 British Summer Time 21 May 2023

    Aston Villa 1-0 Liverpool

Miri Taylor shoots high over the bar from 25 yards for Liverpool.

There might have been a better chance for the visitors but Natasha Dowie was unable to take Taylor's through ball with her as she darted forward. Had she done so, she would have been clean through.

Bad news for Villa, though, as Jordan Nobbs is limping off. That's a blow for the hosts. Simone Magill will replace her.

    Fara Williams
Former England midfielder on BBC Two

    A fantastic job from Chelsea.

I think it was all but done in that first 45 minutes, the two goals really settled them.

They had to manage some moments in the second half, Arsenal came out a completely different side and had some chances.

Arsenal caused a few problems for this Chelsea team but they dealt with it, and now they've just got one game left to go.

    Hope Powell
Former England and Brighton manager on BBC Two

Arsenal left it all too late to try to come back from two goals down in the second half. They played so much better, more energy and confidence, and were unfortunate to miss the penalty.

A deserved win for Chelsea and they are on the front foot in the title race.

Roughly halfway through the first half at Villa Park and the home side are still a goal to the good.

Well, they are to the best of my knowledge. There is an issue with the stream and so it is quite tricky to say for sure!

    FT: Chelsea 2-0 Arsenal

    Hope Powell
Former England and Brighton manager on BBC Two

The most important thing is that Chelsea have done the job here [at Kingsmeadow] today, if the score stays as it is.

Well in control in the first half, deserved lead, two nil up and they've been solid defensively.

Do their own job and that's all that matters.
