    Fleetwood 1-1 Ipswich

Ipswich fans will be encouraged with the way their team has come out this second half, but conceding so soon after scoring is a bit of a kicker.

Supporters will no doubt have one eye on the Plymouth game as well and be disappointed to see their top of the table rivals pulling away from Port Vale.

  2. goal

GOAL: Exeter 3-1 Morecambepublished at 13:28 British Summer Time 7 May 2023

    Jay Stansfield hat-trick (70 mins)

Morecambe are headed for League Two.

Jay Stansfield wraps up his hat-trick to cap off a miserable second half for the Shrimps.

It's a result that looks all the more stark as the Grecians had lost six on the bounce coming into this afternoon.

  3. CLOSE!published at 13:27 British Summer Time 7 May 2023

    Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 Derby County

    Ten-man Derby almost level!

Nathaniel Mendez-Laing tears forward and towards the 18-yard box before playing in Max Bird one-on-one.

Bird's sidefoot beats the Wednesday keeper, but his effort is cleared off the line by Aden Flint.

Liam Palmer's near post effort then clips the outside of the post for the Owls. End to end

I've just seen a replay of that Finn Azaz goal and what a lovely touch on the ball.

It just flew effortlessly off his toe, with a little flick of his boot and sailed into the far top corner beyond the outstretched arm of the keeper.

The 4,000 Plymouth fans who have travelled to Vale Park are loving this.

I'm told that is the 22nd goal from an Argyle sub this season, not too shabby.

In amongst the flurry of goals at St James Park, here's how the League One relegation fight looks like at the minute.

Morecambe are going down unless they can score at least two more goals and overturn Exeter's lead.

MK Dons are still goalless at Burton, but right now just one goal would keep them in the division.

Cambridge are staying up as things stand courtesy of their 2-0 lead over already-relegated Forest Green.

    Finn Azaz (61 mins)

What a finish from Finn Azaz.

He has come on as a sub and provided some real quality.

The ball broke neatly for him on the edge of the penalty area and he made no mistake in hitting the target.

    Cambridge 2-0 Forest Green

Cambridge are looking comfortable in their pursuit of League One survival.

Already 2-0 up against Forest Green, they almost force a third as Harrison Dunk looks for his second of the afternoon.

But Brandon Cooper makes the block to deny him.

With MK Dons being held by Burton and Morecambe losing at Exeter, the Us are staying up as it stands.

  11. CLOSE!published at 13:17 British Summer Time 7 May 2023

    Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 Derby County

So close to a second for the Owls.

Will Vaulks' strike smacks the crossbar and then sees a second goal-bound strike blocked by Craig Forsyth.

Barry Bannan then hits a shot wide of Joe Wildsmith's left-hand upright from 25 yards.

    Derby are hanging on.

It's a good finish from Jay Stansfield, to be fair. From Morecambe's point of view it's a bad goal to concede.

He's picked his spot and it's a good finish but it's disappointing for Morecambe.

Cole Stockton has scored six goals in his past four games. He has come to life and you wonder if it is too little, too late.

He got 23 goals in the league last season, this was his 11th overall this and 10th in the league, He's had a difficult season and you think if they could have kept him firing where Morecamble might be.

  16. CLOSE!published at 13:15 British Summer Time 7 May 2023

    Barnsley 0-1 Peterborough Utd

Derby need a favour from Barnsley and the Tykes are threatening at the start of the second half.

Herbie Kane's free-kick into the box causes pinball in the area and falls to Liam Kitching.

But his stab goalwards lacks the power to trouble Posh keeper Will Norris.

That's how important a goalscoring centre forward is. He's not had a sniff in this game so far.

He's aware, he's on the spot and it's a great finish. Game on.

    Immediate response from Morecambe!

Cole Stockton heads in for the Shrimps after some woeful defending from a long ball from the hosts, and they're back on level terms against Exeter.

But they're still down as things stand. They need another goal at the very least.
