Crunching tackle from Juan Cruz on Rodrygo and he berates the assistant referee when the throw in goes Real Madrid's way.

Osasuna have a throw in deep in Madrid's half after Eder Militao hacks the ball into touch.

There is a shake of the head from the defender and just a sign that Madrid are getting a little frustrated.

Having sat back and asked Osasuna to try to break them down in the first part of the second half, Real Madrid are on the front foot now.

It is Osasuna's turn to get themselves into a solid shape and look to play on the counter.

Karim Benzema hooks the ball back to the penalty spot for Federico Valverde but the midfielder scuffs the volley well wide.

That's a decent chance.

We've got a bit of a delay after a flare or two went off in the Osasuna end. A steward was there quickly to extinguish it and, eventually, the referee is given the OK to restart the game.

How will Real Madrid respond now?

Ruben Pena has a chance to attack Eduardo Camavinga down the Osasuna right but mis-controls the ball.

He flings himself to the ground trying to win a free-kick but the referee is having none of it.

As soon as I say that, Rodrygo gets in down the right for Real Madrid and squirms past his man into the box, gets the ball to Karim Benzema, who in turn tees up Vinicius Jnr but the shot is off target.

Osasuna come forward now and get another threatening ball into the box and Dani Carvajal gets a crucial head on the ball at the far post.

Now the second half has really started!

After such a high tempo, passion-filled first half, it's been a slightly more reserved start to the second.

Eduardo Camavinga gets to the byline after a pass from Vinicius Jnr.

He cuts the ball back for Karim Benzema but his shot flies well over the bar.

Abde Ezzalzouli gets the ball in plenty of space on the left but it's a poor cross, straight at Dani Carvajal.

The Madrid right-back then needs a moment after taking a knock to the knee. He is OK to continue, though.

The players are back out, it's Osasuna's kick-off and we're under way in the second half.

Talking about that feistiness, there was some pushing and shoving as the players went down the tunnel at half-time.

Should help to make for a fascinating second 45 minutes.

It all got a bit feisty towards the end of the half and the referee was kept extremely busy.

Vinicius Jnr was at the heart of it. He was one of four players - two from each side - yellow carded before the break.

The winger might have lost his cool a couple of times but he was a constant threat down the left.

Osasuna reacted well to that early setback and have more than played their part in an enthralling first half.

Their best chance fell to Abde Ezzalzouli but his goal-bound dink was cleared off the line by Dani Carvajal.
