    Luton 1-0 Sunderland (2-2 agg)

Cody Drameh sees the ball sit up on the edge of the Sunderland box, but it's an air swing as Alex Pritchard just nips in to clear.

Plenty of bash and barge between strikers and defenders, Carlton Morris is holding his back.

Drameh is played in down the right, Dan Neil blocks. Luton corner.

    Luton 1-0 Sunderland (2-2 agg)

Such is the pressure on Sunderland, they are struggling to clear their lines and pass their way out of trouble.

The subsequent hooks forward aren't sticking and the ball is coming back their way.

Dan Neil slides into a 50-50 with Carlton Morris, after a loose touch from the Luton man. Neil is pinged, having seemed to come off worse.

It's a bark of anger and frustration to referee Simon Hooper.

  3. 'Not the easiest chance'published at 38 mins

    Luton 1-0 Sunderland (2-2 agg)

    Marco Gabbiadini
Ex-Sunderland striker on BBC Radio Newcastle

Not the easiest of chances but Luton have got in behind again and Carlton Morris has got into space, it's just a little bit behind him and he can't quite wrap his foot around it.

    Luton 1-0 Sunderland (2-2 agg)

Trai Hume does brilliantly, going to ground and sliding to deny Elijah Adebayo a shooting opportunity.

It was in the box, but the Sunderland man got his timing perfect. But the combination between Adebayo and partner Carlton Morris is starting to tick.

Another chance, Jordan Clark to Adebayo, cut back from the right, but Morris can't quite wrap his foot round it and into the net.

    Luton putting the squeeze on.

  5. Postpublished at 36 mins

    Luton 1-0 Sunderland (2-2 agg)

Trai Hume does well to shepherd a loose touch by Pelly Ruddock-Mpanzu behind under pressure from the Luton midfielder.

Sunderland's young defender hardly looks old enough to buy a lottery ticket [he is though], but is showing real maturity and composure.

  6. Postpublished at 35 mins

    Luton 1-0 Sunderland (2-2 agg)

Patrick Roberts dances forward for Sunderland, and hits a slide rule in behind for Amad Diallo.

Luton are alive to it, and Tom Lockyer shepherds it back to his goalkeeper.

Keyboard's smoking here. Some game. Pulsating.

Luton are swinging in cross after cross, something they didn't do in the first-leg.

Sunderland don't like it, and they're getting a bit nervy and panicky.

  8. GREAT SAVE!published at 32 mins

    Luton 1-0 Sunderland (2-2 agg)

Phenomenal Gordon Banks-esque dive across goal from Anthony Patterson to get an arm to a curling Carlton Morris header and scoop it away.

Great cross from Elijah Adebayo. Used the pace to steer it, but the Sunderland keeper was so alert.

The return effort sails just wide.

  9. YELLOW CARDpublished at 30 mins

Luke O'Nien is booked for tussling with Elijah Adebayo.

Sunderland have no problem getting to the Luton box, into the final third, but once there they're finding space at a premium.

Amad Diallo was forced across goal by the cover, and couldn't get a shot away.

  11. Postpublished at 28 mins

    Luton 1-0 Sunderland (2-2 agg)

Luton get the ball into the Sunderland box but Carlton Morris can only glance it across and the visitors clear.

It's Jack Clarke, arcing a ball into space with the outside of his boot and Alex Pritchard does well to chase it, and bring Joe Gelhardt into play.

The hosts get back to cover. Good 'arm-wrestle' this.

  12. 'Positive start from Doughty'published at 27 mins

    Luton 1-0 Sunderland (2-2 agg)

    Leon Barnett
Former Luton defender on BBC Three Counties Radio

Alfie Doughty has started really well, being really direct, he's going inside and outside against the Sunderland defender and getting into positions where he can put in a cross, pass or have a shot.

He's started the game really positively.

  13. Postpublished at 27 mins

    Luton 1-0 Sunderland (2-2 agg)

Amad Diallo runs along the Luton box from right to left, and then back again.

Sunderland have the ball taken away from them.

Luton get it through Alfie Doughty who toes it through to Pelly Ruddock-Mpanzu, but his fierce shot is blocked by a sliding Trai Hume.

    Luton 1-0 Sunderland (2-2 agg)

It's 100 miles an hour this, with a ton of testy subplots just pouring extra cayenne pepper into this play-off jambalaya.

Sunderland not going away from their patient, push-and-run style approach. Luton setting about them like the "snarling dogs" that Tony Mowbray described his side as on Saturday.

  15. 'Foul on the keeper surely?'published at 23 mins

That must have been a foul on the keeper, surely? We didn't see Alfie Doughty do that enough in the first leg at the Stadium of Light, from a Luton perspective.

  16. OFF THE LINEpublished at 22 mins

    Luton 1-0 Sunderland (2-2 agg)

Luton Town come close to a second but Luke O'Nien is stationed on the line to turn it away.

Alfie Doughty put a cross right under the crossbar for Anthony Patterson to have to claim with Elijah Adebayo around him making life awkward.

He spills it, Carlton Morris pokes a toe at it, but the Sunderland defenders on the line clear his and Adebayo's efforts.

Under the pump, but Sunderland just about surviving. Luton pushing to take the lead.

  17. YELLOW CARDpublished at 19 mins

    Luton 1-0 Sunderland (2-2 agg)

Spicy affair, this. Jordan Clark gets a booking for leaving one on Lynden Gooch.

Then, Tom Lockyer and Joe Gelhardt come together, butting heads like angry stags. One to watch, that.

  18. Postpublished at 17 mins

    Luton 1-0 Sunderland (2-2 agg)

Sunderland have responded really well, moving the ball neatly through the lines and opening Luton up.

Joe Gelhardt does well to roll his man on the edge of the box, and strokes it to Jack Clarke, but after his shuffle, shimmy and shot, the ball is blocked and it's an easy claim for Ethan Horvath.

  19. Postpublished at 16 mins

    Luton 1-0 Sunderland (2-2 agg)

Luton threaten again, as Marvelous Nakamba picks out Alfie Doughty on the left, on the run toward the edge of the penalty area.

It picks him out beautifully, but the half-volleyed cross-cum-shot is plucked out of the air by Anthony Patterson in the Sunderland goal.

  20. 'It's a penalty all day long'published at 15 mins

It's a penalty all day long. I've just seen it back and it's hit him on the arm clearly, but there's no VAR.

When referees come down from the Premier League they are sometimes frozen as they are so used to having these decisions made for them.
