Wow. Nobody was expecting that. Italy were in control.

She doesn't look and the keeper isn't in any sort of position because she thinks she's going out wide.

Olivia Schough should do better!

Sofia Jakobsson does really well on the right to drive a dangerous ball in and Schough rises to meet it but directs her header wide.

She was unmarked, though, and probably should have got that on target.

A pause in play as Noko Matlou and Chiara Beccari clash heads as they both go up for a ball. Both appear to be okay after a bit of treatment.

Very deep corner by Anna Sandberg and Romina Núñez plays it safe by heading behind for another set piece. Olivia Schough takes this one, swinging into the near post and forcing Argentina to head behind for another corner.

Still goalless as we approach the halfway point of the first half, although Mariana Larroquette isn't too far off with a free kick for Argentina.

Argentina are doing the high press, they're not letting Sweden play and get out.

Sweden don't like it. Argentina are front foot, aggressive.

Sweden are getting frustrated and giving free-kicks away in dangerous areas.

If Argentina are winning the free-kicks, they need to make the most of them.

Much better from South Africa, they are getting bodies forward and look like they've got belief.

There are numbers in the box, which is a positive.

So unlucky!

The ball sets up nicely for Robyn Moodaly right on the edge of the box and she hits a first-time strike with the outside of her boot that strikes the post.

That will give South Africa some much needed belief as they look to get back level.

It's hard getting a booking like that for Olivia Schough because you feel like you have to watch yourself for the rest of the game.

Sweden have another opportunity with a free kick, but this one is in a far better position than their first one, central and just outside the box. Olivia Schough takes it, clears the wall but places the shot too close to the goalkeeper.

Schough is then booked for catching Romina Núñez late.

Superb challenge by Bambanani Mbane as she times a sliding tackle to perfection to hook the ball away from Manuela Giugliano as she raced onto a dangerous ball down the flank.

Italy have started well, as they did against Sweden.

This time they've put a chance away.

That goal for Italy means as things stand nothing Argentina can do in this game will be enough to send them through.

Currently it is the Italians joining Sweden in the last 16 but a long way to go.

Argentina have an opportunity on the break as Estefanía Banini surges through the middle. She has options either side of her but decides to go for the spectacular with a strike from range, which goes well over.

The fans have been incredible in this whole World Cup so far, no matter what nation it may be. They are there, they are supporting.

There is belief from them, you see that emotion while singing the national anthem, Argentina want to go and win today.
