Auckland has been full of thousands of USA fans during this tournament but there haven't been too many stars and stripes on show in New Zealand's largest city today.
The defending champions are on their way home after being knocked out by Sweden following a dramatic penalty shootout.
Many USA fans had booked hotel rooms and bought tickets for this Friday's quarter-final in the city, confident that Vlatko Andonovski's side would advance.
Instead the Swedes meet Japan in a red-hot last-eight clash at Eden Park.
One dejected USA fan told me: "Vlatko is toast after this. Can we have Sarina Wiegman?".

Nigeria have impressed at this tournament.
They got out of a group which was won by Australia, finishing second ahead of Olympic champions Canada.
They've got one of the best, in-form strikers in world football at the moment in Asisat Oshoala, of Barcelona.
This is a match England are favourites for, they will expect to win, but there will be no complacency from Sarina Wiegman.

England boss Sarina Wiegman to BBC One: "Of course [Keira Walsh starting] it gives a boost. It's nice to have 23 players available.
"She can start and we know she's an exceptional player. We didn't talk straight away about an ACL injury that's what the media did. We knew 24 hours later and then she had to process the good news.
"She had a great rehab and ticked every box and now she can start."
[On Lauren James] "She is very calm and grounded. We are in our bubble and only talking about football and our tasks and we want to execute our plans."

The Nigerian women's side are the most successful side in African football, so expectations are high.
Now at the World Cup, many people believe that they have punched above their weight, and beating England would be a massive achievement.
Everyone believes England are beatable. The only previous fixture that the side have played at the World Cup, Nigeria lost 3-2.
But the fact that Nigeria bounced back to beat England in 2002 and 2004 in friendly matches is giving them hope and confidence.

It’s all love here at the Suncorp Stadium - until kick off that is.
Andy and daughter Tilly braved the Brisbane rain to arrive at the stadium early: “Three weeks ago, Tilly wasn’t even interested in football. Now she’s even started playing!”
Meanwhile Fred Alale is confident that Nigeria can cause an upset, “but the form Lauren James is on is causing a big worry.”

This tournament has proved she's one of the best in the world.

Above is Rob (on the right) with his mates who are flying the flag for the Lionesses in Auckland - around 1,500 miles from where this game is taking place in Brisbane.
Rob, who lives and works in New Zealand's largest city, is not surprised the United States were turfed out of the tournament yesterday.
But he is worried should England get to the final and meet Japan.
"I'd have been very confident of England defeating the USA, but Japan? They concern me," he says.
And which England player has impressed Rob so far?
"Lauren James has been amazing," he adds. "She's on fire at this World Cup."

Back three is really good when you want your defenders on the front foot. Some of the goals England scored against China came from Millie Bright stepping forward.
You can do that with a back three. When you build up it gives you a change of direction.
Nigeria's playing with three forwards so it's going to be interesting to see if England will be as successful as they were against China.

The five at the back will allow Bronze and Daly to bomb forward and to create overloads in those wide areas for the Nigeria full backs to deal with.
Also having three natural centre backs in Bright, Greenwood and Carter means we have the right balance.
They all know the role well and have a good understanding, particularly with Bright and Carter from Chelsea.
And you get the balance of Greenwood's left foot and progressive passing.
The system just suits the players and their attributes and allows them to play at their best.

The atmosphere already is building. I'm really loving the experience so far.
Mary Earps has been the best that she can be which is the best in the world. She shows everyone every match why she's that.
She has an ability to stay in the moment and be ready to make big saves which she's done. Her distribution is world class. Technically fantastic and her decision making is excellent.

This is the 53rd game of the Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, with just 11 remaining after this. The aggregate attendance at this tournament stands at 1,367,037, surpassing the previous highest total attendance of 1,353,506 at the 2015 edition in Canada when there were 52 matches.
"There have been ten matches with attendances of over 40,000 to date showing that this Fifa Women’s World Cup has shifted from being a team-supported tournament to a globally-followed event," said Fifa president Gianni Infantino on Monday.
"This is why we are witnessing the greatest Fifa Women’s World Cup ever - and a record breaking one."
The average attendance at this World Cup stands at 26,289.

England have finished their warm-ups and Keira Walsh didn't seem to have any issues.
She was doing sprints alongside Georgia Stanway and there was no indication there was a problem with her knee.
Ten days ago we feared it could have been an ACL - now she's starting in the last 16 of the World Cup!

We were criticial of England's performances in their opening victories over Haiti and Denmark in Group D, but as Millie Bright rightly told us: "Maybe people might appreciate those 1-0 results a little bit more now."
Bright is not wrong. The USA, Germany, Canada and Brazil have all crashed out of the tournament earlier than expected.
England were one of just three teams to win each group game and ended it with that stunning display against China.
And as they arrived in Brisbane yesterday afternoon, you could feel optimism growing. Many fans believe it's England's best chance to win the World Cup now.
There is no sense of complacency within the England camp though - Sarina Wiegman laughed away the question yesterday - and they will need to turn up today against a very good Nigeria team.

Arrived at work early to watch the game, 100% behind England but a part of me hopes Ashleigh Plumptre has a great game. Knew her and coached her as a kid, been a season ticket holder for Leicester Women for the last few seasons. She’s a great player and has really helped move this Nigeria team on!

In a sense you feel for Katie Zelem, she did a good job when she came in to the team, the way she distributed the ball and got involved.
But Keira Walsh is one of the best midfielders in the world.
The formation used against China suited every player on the pitch, and to be fair suits the entire England squad too.

The formation allows a real fluidity. A formation we have stumbled across but it seems to enhance the players.
