What a hit that was from Ashleigh Plumptre. The ball was on the rise but she struck it so sweetly. An inch lower and it may well have still beaten Mary Earps but also found the net off the woodwork.

England need calm heads.

Well that got the crowd going. Ashleigh Plumptre, a former England youth international who switched nationalities, just came close twice to giving Nigeria the lead. England haven't trailed yet in the tournament so that would have been quite something.

What a glorious strike from Plumptre

The trajectory was just so clean, she hit it so,so well.

Nigeria are really getting numbers forward, getting five on four in their favour.

I think we may have to see some changes here in terms of tactics from England.

What a thunderous strike. Absolute rocket. England just can't clear their lines.

The twisting and the turning and a left-footer which was the purest of strikes. The bar saves England.

Nigeria are really calling the shots now!

England under serious pressure.

A thunderous effort from Ashleigh Plumptre from the edge of the box hammers against the bar. The Lionesses remain under the pump, though, and Mary Earps is then forced into a decent save by Plumptre's shot.

Nigeria are starting to hit their stride here.

An interesting match up is emerging between Kanu and Greenwood on that left hand side.

Greenwood was clearly trying to protect that central area there.

This time, the delivery is met by Michelle Alozie with a booming header, but her effort strikes the mass of bodies ahead of her - which includes Alessia Russo - before the ball is cleared.

Nigeria are so impressive winning the ball back and getting into the final third. It was good defending from Alex Greenwood.

As the game goes on both teams will fatigue, but you can see so far both sides are keen to play down this near side.

Nigeria particularly look like they are gambling with plenty of numbers forward.

A player in green gets her head to the ball first but it lacks power and England are able to scramble clear.
