Ryan: City didn’t feel the pressure in the PL, because they’ve won it so many times. Ditto the FA cup. The CL however!

Rashid: Pep needs to bring on Alvarez and Mahrez for someone in the second half. Who for I don't know, but a change has to happen if Man City are to win this game.

Anon: Need to get Walker on. Should have been on from the start.

Paul: A penny for Pep’s thoughts. 0-0 at HT, one of his best players injured and Inter a threat on transition. Not going as expected so far!

    Man City 0-0 Inter Milan

Only against Southampton (three) and Manchester United (two) in January have City had fewer first-half shots in a game this season than their four tonight.

Suppose we could dress it up in the jargon about intriguing tactical battles and all that but let's call it as it is and say very dull. And you suspect Inter Milan will be far more satisfied with that.

Kevin de Bruyne's injury was the most significant moment of the half. Very frustrating for Manchester City.

In the second half Inter might tire and that's when Manchester City will punish them. They've had the best chance of the game as well and usually Haaland puts those away.

Kevin de Bruyne will be a huge miss for City. He's the player that makes the difference and when he comes off it feels like you're missing out.

He's the player who has something special who can unlock you. Without him it becomes much more difficult.

Wilsonpudding: Not looking good for all those people predicting three or four nil to City.

Mike: Lukaku late second half winner. You heard it here first.

    Man City 0-0 Inter Milan

Inter have failed to score a first-half goal in eight of their 13 games, more often than any other team in the Champions League this season.

City aren't far behind on 7/13 goalless first halves.

So maybe we shouldn't have expected anything else.

Pep Guardiola cuts a frustrated figure. He'll expect his team to go up a level. It's been a bit of an Italian job, Inter have been super aggressive.

    Not a classic.

Chris: A real blow for KDB personally, but as a team sport, I fully expect a winners medal to be hung around his neck in the next hour. Come on City!

Simone Inzaghi is out of the Antonio Conte school of micro managing.

He edges down the touchline when any of his players get close, so he is almost playing himself.

There is a lot of pointing and gesturing and he just marched over to the fourth official to berate him over a decision that had gone against Inter Milan.

Bernardo Silva cuts the ball back to Manuel Akanji, who has a lash from 25 yards but it sails well over the bar.

Phil Foden is a fantastic player but any team in the world would miss Kevin de Bruyne.

I must say the last 10 minutes have been one-way traffic. It's all City but it's still 0-0. If Inter make it to half-time like this, they'll be delighted.

Under pressure from Erling Haaland, Andre Onana slips as he clears the ball - but fortunately the Inter keeper gets the ball 50 yards down the pitch.

Phil Foden's free-kick goes over to Rodri at the other side. Rodri's cross seems to hit his other leg and roll wide.

City pass the ball from one side to the other, just looking for a bit of space. But Inter are defending in a great shape.
