    A team of about 60 or so people have been here since 6am building the stage, where the players will eventually end up.

    Not easy in 31 degrees! The crew had to ditch their travel plans to Manchester yesterday because of the thunderstorms. Hopefully the ones forecast today don’t dampen today’s pyrotechnics.

    Pep Guardiola and the squad will depart from Tonman Street, Deansgate, at about 18:30 BST and travel to St Mary's Gate.

    The parade will then travel through Cross Street and King Street, before finishing on the corner of Princess Street and Portland Street.

    The players are expected to arrive at a live stage show on Oxford Street at about 19:30 BST.

    Have you ever gone to a parade that wasn't your team's? I was living in Liverpool when they won the 2005 Champions League and I figured I'd never have the chance to see another Limerickman* with the Champions League again so went to see it.

    There is going to be a little delay to things.

    Because of expected lightning storms, the stage show is not starting at 17:30 BST as planned.

    The trophy parade through the city centre is still expected to begin on time at 18:30 BST.
