    Okay, I'm done.

Thanks for your company on an extra-long night at Hampden.

Biblical rain in the southside of Glasgow threatened to derail the fun, but the heroes with mops, squeegees and forks - even a leaf blower - saved the day, while Callum McGregor and Scott McTominay grabbed the all-important goals.

Scotland have 12 points from four games and are well on their way to place at Euro 2024.

  3. '10 out of 10 for support' - Clarkepublished at 00:04 British Summer Time 21 June 2023

    FT: Scotland 2-0 Georgia

Scotland manager Steve Clarke repeats his appreciation for the Hampden faithful after a long, long night for the Tartan Army.

He told BBC Scotland: "I think the conditions, the circumstances, the hanging around, the waiting… Before I go on to praise the players which I’m going to do, I’m going to praise the crowd.

"It would have been so easy for them to pack up and go home but they stayed, they sang, they took part in the atmosphere every time we went to warm-up, which was a lot.

"They got behind the team, they sparked the lads up again. So listen, the crowd was absolutely magnificent, 10/10 for the crowd.

I’ll probably give my players 9/10 because we conceded a late penalty that could have made the last three or four minutes nervous.

"Obviously, a good start to the group and we’ve cemented the two big results against Spain and Norway. A good win against a very decent Georgian side."

  5. Clarke 'really proud' on 'surreal night'published at 23:58 British Summer Time 20 June 2023

    FT: Scotland 2-0 Georgia

Scotland head coach Steve Clarke tells Viaplay: "It was a surreal night. The players were magnificent and stayed focused.

"I have to mention the crowd, they stayed with the team and we really appreciate that. A big mention for the volunteers who cleared the pitch as well.

"I said we would improve. I think I've been proven right. I think we can still improve. But I'm really proud of them.

"We're not going to qualify with 12 points. It would be nice to make it five [wins in a row]. But you know what football's like. If you get too far ahead of yourself it can come back and kick you on the backside."

You must feel, and it kind of reverberates around the stadium, everybody's happy, everybody’s got a smile on their face. The media are all buying into it, the players are all buying into it.

Everybody's pulling in the same direction and hopefully, and I’m pretty sure, that will be to Germany.

The players deserve all the credit they’re going to get because the performances have been excellent, and the results have been excellent.

Steve Clarke is saying he thinks there’s more to come from this group and I do as well.

This is what dreams are made of, to be sitting with the points they have.

Four wins and only one goal conceded. You can tell these boys can't wait for the next game.

  9. 'Strange, but positive night' - McGregorpublished at 23:48 British Summer Time 20 June 2023

    FT: Scotland 2-0 Georgia

Scotland midfielder Callum McGregor tells Viaplay that tonight's game was "a little bit strange".

Just a little bit, Callum? That opening goal seems like an age ago!

"No-one's experienced that before," he adds of the long delay. "It's a testament to the boys' character and the staff, they were excellent.

"We were desperate to get the game back on. We were physically ready to go again. Overall, it's a really positive night."

    FT: Scotland 2-0 Georgia

    Willie Miller
Former Scotland defender on BBC Sportsound

The fans can go home happy after such a long night.

And they can go home anticipating the Euros because I can’t see us throwing away the position that we’re in now.

It would have to be an incredible sequence of results for us not to qualify. Not that you’re going to get Steve Clarke confirming that, but that’s my opinion.

  11. 'Energy levels were excellent'published at 23:42 British Summer Time 20 June 2023

    FT: Scotland 2-0 Georgia

    Craig Levein
Former Scotland manager on BBC Sportsound

What I think was quite remarkable was that this group of players played in sweltering conditions at the weekend and they had an unusual hour-and-a-half delay tonight.

You can’t switch off. You start the match and then you’re on tenterhooks all the time until you restart and you’re using energy up all that time.

The amount of running the players did you’d think they didn’t play a game at the weekend.

  14. McTominay thanks 'amazingly patient' Tartan Armypublished at 23:36 British Summer Time 20 June 2023

    FT: Scotland 2-0 Georgia

Scotland midfielder Scott McTominay tells Viaplay: "At the start we were all saying we couldn't play on the pitch. But we kept our heads and kept to the game plan and we did it really well.

"We came here to play, the crowd was amazingly patient. They kept us going. We thank them so much."

On potential qualification for the Euros, McTominay adds: "The job's not done yet. Until we've got definite qualification, we'll keep working."
