James: Watkins could score 10 today and still not get into Southgate's team. He's not playing in a 'top 6' team.

Dan: Brentford Dan here. You know it be great if Watkins came back to the Bees once Toney inevitably leave. Come back Ollie!

  7. Grealish and Phillips miss out for Man Citypublished at 14:05 British Summer Time 30 September 2023

Wolves v Man City (15:00 BST)

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Molineux

Given his lack of previous opportunities for Manchester City, it is perhaps no surprise Kalvin Phillips is back on the bench at Wolves this afternoon.

Maybe more of a surprise, on the basis Mateo Kovacic has just returned from injury and is starting, is Jack Grealish being amongst the substitutes.

Having seen Wolves perform poorly at Luton last week, I don't see them ending City's 100% Premier League record at Molineux this afternoon.

  8. Team news - McBurnie back for Bladespublished at 14:05 British Summer Time 30 September 2023

West Ham v Sheff Utd (15:00 BST)

West Ham are unchanged from the side that lost 3-1 to Liverpool at Anfield last Sunday - indeed their entire matchday squad remains the same.

Aaron Cresswell is the only injury absentee for David Moyes as the Hammers boss manages his 900th league game.

West Ham XI: Areola, Coufal, Zouma, Aguerd, Emerson, Soucek, Alvarez, Bowen, Ward-Prowse, Lucas Paqueta, Antonio.

Substitutes: Fabianski, Mavropanos, Ogbonna, Kehrer, Fornals, Kudus, Cornet, Benrahma, Ings.

Sheffield United boss Paul Heckingbottom, meanwhile, has given the majority of his side a collective chance to make amends for last weekend's home hammering at the hands of Newcastle.

He makes just one change from that 8-0 thrashing as Oli McBurnie returns from suspension to form a front two with Cameron Archer. Rhian Brewster is among the substitutes after almost a year out with hamstring problems. He last played on 29 October 2022.

Sheff Utd XI: Foderingham, Ahmedhodzic, Egan, Robinson, Bogle, McAtee, Souza, Thomas, Hamer, Archer, McBurnie.

Substitutes: Davies, Trusty, Basham, Larouci, Norwood, Davies, Slimane, Traore, Brewster.

Richard: I hyped up Watkins all through preseason, captain him in my fantasy team for 3 weeks at the start...removed him before last weeks game after 1 assist in 5 matches... and now he has 4 in 2... So glad the premier league is back...so glad...

Jay: Realistically, looking at fixtures, Brighton could lose 6 on the spin before they settling back in at home with a narrow 4-3 win over Fulham at the end of October. How about that for a 7 fold prediction.

Garreth: How is that not a second yellow for Konsa? If he wasn't already booked, 100% he's getting carded there. No consistency at all.

  11. Team news - Gordon startspublished at 14:04 British Summer Time 30 September 2023

    Newcastle v Burnley (15:00 BST)

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe makes three changes from last weekend's 8-0 thrashing of Sheffield United in the Premier League.

Jamaal Lascelles starts and captains the side, with Anthony Gordon and Alexander Isak also in the starting XI. Callum Wilson and Sven Botman are both missing through injury, along with Harvey Barnes who is out for three months.

Newcastle XI: Pope, Trippier, Schar, Lascelles, Gordon, Isak, Almiron, Anderson, Burn, Longstaff, Guimaraes

Substitutes: Dubravka, Dummett, Joelinton, Tonali, Ritchie, Targett, Hall, Livramento, Murphy

Vincent Kompany has made just the one change to his Burnley line-up from Saturday's 1-0 loss to Manchester United.

Sander Berge starts over Johann Berg Gudmundsson, who is out of the squad with a muscle problem.

Burnley XI: Trafford, Taylor, Beyer, Brownhill, Roberts, Berge, Ramsey, Cullen, Amdouni, Al Dakhil, Koleosho

Ezri Konsa, who is already on a yellow card, reacts as Ansu Fati catches him in midfield.

He grabs Fati's shirt and shows his frustration but the referee intervenes quickly and books the Brighton substitute. Konsa is perhaps a little fortunate not to get a booking for his reaction.

It might be wise to get him off with the game all but done and dusted!

  13. Team news - Calvert-Lewin startspublished at 14:03 British Summer Time 30 September 2023

Abdoulaye Doucoure, Dwight McNeil, Idrissa Gueye and Ashley Young come back into the side with Arnaut Danjuma, Jack Harrison, Michael Keane and Nathan Patterson dropping to the bench.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin gets a start up front once more after scoring two goals in his last two games.

Everton XI: Pickford, Young, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko, Gueye, Onana, Garner, Doucoure, McNeil, Calvert-Lewin.

Winless Luton make nine changes to the side that suffered a shock defeat by Exeter in the Carabao Cup.

Alfie Doughty and Pelly Mpanzu are the only survivors from that game, with top scorer Carlton Morris coming back into the side.

The likes of Tim Krul, Teden Mengi, Mads Andersen and Tahith Chong drop to the bench.

Luton XI: Kaminski, Doughty, Lockyer, Burke, Bell, Kabore, Brown, Nakamba, Mpanzu, Ogbene, Morris.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta makes just the one change to the side who drew 2-2 against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.

Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, William Saliba and Fabio Vieira were all injury doubts but Vieira is the only one to miss out with Kai Havertz coming into the starting line-up in his place.

    Gary Rose
    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

Victor Lindelöf, Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund all come in.

Manchester United continue to have several first team players out injured so Sofyan Amrabat is likely to start in the unfamiliar left back role again.

Man Utd XI: Onana, Dalot, Lindelof, Varane, Amrabat, Mount, Casemiro, Pellistri, Bruno Fernandes, Rashford, Hojlund.

Subs: Bayindir, Maguire, Martial, Eriksen, Garnacho, van de Beek, Evans, McTominay, Mejbri.

Jean-Ricner Bellegarde is unavailable after being sent off in that game. He's replaced by Toti Gomes.
