A massive goal at a really key time in the game. And this is all about the movement.
Brighton lose the ball, but it is about how clever John McGinn is.
That is what you get when you are a striker, full of confidence and you are not scared to shoot.
You saw the reaction from Unai Emery. That was a key time to score because Brighton had all the momentum.
Aston Villa 4-1 Brighton
Roberto de Zerbi has his face in his hands. They have played well since the break but one, sweeping attack from Villa has killed them off.
John McGinn and Ollie Watkins have both been excellent.
Ollie Watkins (65 mins)
Ollie Watkins has got his hat-trick!
It's an excellent break from Villa as John McGinn drives through the middle then chips it over to Watkins on the right.
He takes a touch, cuts inside then his effort comes off a defender and loops over goalkeeper Jason Steele's head.
Probably game over for Brighton now?
Aston Villa 3-1 Brighton
Kaoru Mitoma looks really lively this half. He makes a strong run through the middle but Jack Hinshelwood's touch actually takes it away from team-mate Joao Pedro on the edge of the box.
Aston Villa 3-1 Brighton
Tariq Lamptey loses it on the left and Ollie Watkins manages to break with Moussa Diaby.
He can't quite gather it in and goalkeeper Jason Steele does very well under pressure to clear a back pass.
Aston Villa 3-1 Brighton
Simon Adingra is on for Brighton, replacing Solly March.

Anon: What a difference, playing forward thinking midfielders, better late than never, so far so good.
Dominic: Re: Oliver at 13:40 - You could be right about it not being about individuals any more, but is that really a good thing? Will we see those "special" players like Henry, Cantona, Ronaldo come through and be allowed to shine in a wholly tactical team?
Dan: In cricket, players get 15 seconds to review. Football officials should get 90 secs max to decide on a VAR decision.
Anon: I’m sure it’s been said already, but why can’t the clock be stopped for lengthy checks? Football has a lot to learn from rugby!
Aston Villa 3-1 Brighton
Not far away! Kaoru Mitoma heads the free-kick back across the six-yard area. Ansu Fati manages to get a shot off but it's blocked and cleared off the line.
Aston Villa 3-1 Brighton
Brighton are the better team in this second half. They are putting Villa under some pressure but the hosts are still fairly well organised.
Kaoru Mitoma produces a bit of quality with a smart one-two to earn a free-kick on the edge of the box.
Aston Villa 3-1 Brighton
Solly March breaks through the middle. He lays it off to Joao Pedro on the right but his early cross is skewed way wide and goes out for a goal kick.

Matt: Someone going to have to explain that one. He's in front of the ball?
Jeremy: Oh dear, football was so much more enjoyable to watch before all this constant VAR disruption.
Kyle: Why did that goal take so long to give? With McGinn off the pitch would he not be playing him well onside. Glad it got given eventually. Cracking game and game on.

Once again we're treated to a three-minute VAR check. No wonder there's extra time added on to a stupid degree this season, it's not the players, it's VAR. It's meant to be clear and obvious but each decision takes far too long and it's just sucking the life out of the game.

It was a great combination from Kaoru Mitoma and an overlap from Joao Pedro making an instant impact when he came on.

Brighton are going to get momentum from scoring that goat. The VAR check took a little bit from that momentum but Brighton need to ride on this if they can.
Aston Villa 3-1 Brighton
The substitutions have made a difference. Joao Pedro is in an offside positon but the flag doesn't go up for ages. Brighton play on, trying to muster space for a shot before Pedro eventually loses it and the whistle stops play.
Aston Villa 3-1 Brighton
It's been given! Ansu Fati's goal stands. Game on!
Aston Villa 3-1 Brighton
A really lengthy check this. John McGinn is off the pitch, behind the goalline.
They are checking to see if Joao Pedro is offside when it comes back to him on the second occasion.
