How many reds and how many yellows now? This is incredible!

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 90 mins

    Tottenham 1-1 Liverpool

More changes. Yves Bissouma off for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and James Maddison off for Alejo Veliz, making his Premier League debut.

  3. Postpublished at 89 mins

    Tottenham 1-1 Liverpool

Free kick well claimed by Guglielmo Vicario and Spurs will try to get something going up at the other end.

But wait, you've guessed it. Another booking halts play. This time it's Cristian Romero.

  4. YELLOW CARDpublished at 88 mins

    Tottenham 1-1 Liverpool

Goodness me. ANOTHER booking. Yves Bissouma is into the book for a raised arm on Wataru Endo.

Liverpool have a free kick some way out.

  5. 'These situations are harder than you think'published at 19:20 British Summer Time 30 September 2023

    Tottenham 1-1 Liverpool

    Stephen Warnock
Former England and Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

There is an added pressure on Tottenham now.

People may think they're playing against nine men, why can't they just go and win?

But it is harder than you might think playing against a side that have had one or two players sent off.

It becomes a training ground exercise, attack versus deep, low-block defence.

  6. YELLOW CARDpublished at 85 mins

    Tottenham 1-1 Liverpool

You would think it would have given Tottenham a big boost but it has actually all gone a bit flat since the second Liverpool sending off, to be honest.

We're going to have another yellow card here and it's for Andy Robertson. He clatters into Pedro Porro and it looks like he clips the Spurs man's cheek.

  7. 'Spurs trying to grind Liverpool down'published at 19:16 British Summer Time 30 September 2023

This Spurs side don't give you a moment's peace.

Everything they do is fast. Corner? Quickly taken so you can't get set. Same for throw-ins, goal-kicks etcetera.

They are trying to grind down Liverpool now.

  8. Postpublished at 84 mins

    Tottenham 1-1 Liverpool

On come Ben Davies and Oliver Skipp.

Off go Pape Sarr and Destiny Udogie.

  9. Postpublished at 83 mins

    Tottenham 1-1 Liverpool

Dejan Kulusevski tries to drive into the area but is hustled off the ball by two red shirts. Nothing in the challenge, though.

Ange Postecoglou is going to make some changes, now.

  10. 'Spurs need patience, Liverpool need organisation'published at 19:14 British Summer Time 30 September 2023

    Tottenham 1-1 Liverpool

    Stephen Warnock
Former England and Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Spurs are trying their best to be patient and shift this Liverpool team from side to side as much as they can.

For Liverpool it is all about organisation and communication now.

If you aren't on it and fail to step out to Maddison, he will not hesitate to take a shot at goal.

  11. Postpublished at 81 mins

    Tottenham 1-1 Liverpool

Another change for Liverpool as the visitors just try to hold onto this point.

One comes Ryan Gravenberch for Alexis Mac Allister.

A wise decision, with the Argentinian already on a booking.

You’d expect 11 to beat 9, but I am a nervous spurs fan and I’ve got a nightmare image in my head of Klopp ending the game fist pumping in front of the away end. Surely not!?

    Tottenham 1-1 Liverpool

Spurs are just passing it around the edge of the area trying to unlock this Liverpool wall.

Manor Solomon chops onto his right and gets the shot off but it takes a deflection and fires wide.

The second yellow is so soft, but if you're on a booking don't give the ref a decision to make. Silly boy.

Expecting a postmatch apology from PGMOL after this shocking performance.

  15. Postpublished at 77 mins

    Tottenham 1-1 Liverpool

Liverpool are still trying to get going on the counter. They're not done yet.

A weak long range effort from Dominik Szoboszlai is collected easily by Guglielmo Vicario.

  16. 'Why has Klopp not taken off Mac Allister?'published at 19:08 British Summer Time 30 September 2023

Liverpool are ringing in the changes now.

I am surprised that Mac Allister has stayed on. He is not the quickest and if he gets caught now it's another red.

He was booked in the first half and Liverpool can hardly afford to go down to eight men.

If that does happen then it is all on the manager. A man on a yellow when you are already two players down, take him off.

Simon Hooper shows a red card to Diogo JotaImage source, Getty Images

Udogie kicked Jota and tripped himself for the first yellow card. I think this is now the single worst performance by a refereeing team I've ever seen.

    Thomas

Worst performance on the pitch is the referee. Every major decision wrong. The standard of officiating in the premier league is awful and they continue to do nothing about it. Poor.

  18. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 75 mins

    Tottenham 1-1 Liverpool

    Three changes for Jurgen Klopp.

Mo Salah, Joe Gomez and Luis Diaz all make way for Ibrahima Konate, Wataru Endo and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

  19. 'Spurs need to be patient'published at 19:06 British Summer Time 30 September 2023

    Tottenham 1-1 Liverpool

    Stephen Warnock
Former England and Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Tottenham need to remain calm here.

They do not need to rush it or feel like they need to win the game straight away just because Liverpool have had another man sent off.

  20. Postpublished at 73 mins

    Tottenham 1-1 Liverpool

Surely Spurs will have to make this advantage felt now. They have an extra two men on the field. What has Jurgen Klopp got in the locker?
