It's all a bit laborious. It is not a great watch at the moment.

It's still mostly City on the ball but that Kai Havertz shot on target was the best chance of the game by some way.
Arsenal keeper Aaron Ramsdale has taken the ball close to his goalline a couple of times. A risky game.

Players have to take responsibility - for me, that is just petulant.

It's the first time we have seen Ben White venture forward, and he does it very well. You can see the benefit there of getting him forward and not just playing in straight lines.
Arsenal 0-0 Man City
So no goal for Kai Havertz, but he has a yellow card for kicking the ankle of John Stones who was running past him.
Arsenal 0-0 Man City
Almost a debut goal for Arsenal's Kai Havertz.
Ben White bursts into the box and finds Havertz, who spins and shoots. Stefan Ortega saves with his feet and Gabriel Martinelli's rebound shot is blocked by the chest of John Stones.
Arsenal 0-0 Man City
Erling Haaland fouls Thomas Partey now. Certainly more fouls than chances in this match.

It's a very cagey game at the moment.

Mikel Arteta is furious again, this time at Bernardo Silva not being booked. The Arsenal boss has a chat to the fourth official but he'd better be careful.

If Partey’s foul was worth a yellow, Rodri’s certainly was. Good to see the level of refereeing from last season hasn’t changed
Chris, Woking
I'm sure there will be plenty happy to see Arteta in the book but personally I'd rather referees just refereed the game properly in the first place. That was as clear a yellow card for Rodri as it's possible to get and has a much greater effect on the game than a manager correctly pointing out a bad decision from the touchline.

Like clockwork Erling Haaland sticks up a high boot and takes a long ball out of the sky. But he can't beat his man with his next touch.
Arsenal 0-0 Man City
You know Erling Haaland will be counting any goals he scores today in his season tally though...
He's been quiet so far. But we've heard that many times before.

You don't really get the sense that Pep Guardiola counts this trophy in an end of season haul - it wouldn't be part of a double, treble, quadruple etc.
Nevertheless, he's currently taking things as seriously as he always does and he can barely keep still down in his technical area.
Every time he tries to sit down in the dugout he's soon back up on his feet and wandering to the edge of the pitch to shout out more instructions, typically animated despite Manchester City's dominant start.
Arsenal 0-0 Man City
That's two yellow cards for a bit of cheek basically and none for fouls. New guidance on show.
Arsenal 0-0 Man City
City forward Julian Alvarez snatches at a shot from distance and it rolls wide.
Arsenal 0-0 Man City
City midfielder Rodri fouls Kai Havertz and Arsenal are insistent he should be booked.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta waves an imaginary yellow card... and the referee comes over to book him instead.
No card for Rodri.

Sam South: If they're clamping down on time wasting with lots of added time, does this mean we can get rid of yellow cards for shirts off now as that's technically not time wasting anymore?
Arsenal 0-0 Man City
Just the 84.2% possession for City. Arsenal have completed 21 passes. In 16 minutes.
