Ignore me, the offside flag didn't go up. It was a chance and it's a corner which Katie McCabe whips in... but it's headed away.

That's McCabe's goals-to-corners ratio down to 50% now.

The ball is chested down to Sinead Farrelly and her half-volley is saved by the Canada keeper, although the offside flag goes up.

This is a very different performance to last Thursday so far.

Katie McCabe goes down in the box and shouts for a penalty. The fans do too. But the referee says no. Kadeisha Buchanan is judged not to have fouled the Irish captain.

What Ireland need to remember is that there is a long way to go in this game. There is the excitement but they need to remember that there is much of this game still to play.

The Irish have a lead to defend now. This is not where Canada wanted to be.

No immediate response from Canada to falling behind.

Sometimes you get a goal from a corner and it's a bit scruffy or deflected in. But nope, that was just a sweet curler into the top corner.

Almost a bit of history from Irish striker Kyra Carusa, who throws herself at a Lucy Quinn cross but her shot hits Canadian keeper Kailen Sheridan.

Jordyn Huitema was the player with the shot blocked. And it was after 20 seconds.

Canada are straight on the attack but have a shot blocked within about 15 seconds of kick-off.
