    Manchester United defender Aoife Mannion is set to spend eight to 10 weeks on the sidelines with a quad issue, Marc Skinner confirmed in his pre-match press conference.

    Republic of Ireland defender Mannion signed a contract extension with the club of an undisclosed length over the summer.

    Aston Villa manager Carla Ward has handed a debut to Netherlands goalkeeper Daphne van Domselaar, with Hannah Hampton joining Chelsea this summer.

    The bulk of last season's team remains so top-scorer Rachel Daly is involved, alongside new club captain Rachel Corsie in defence.

    France international Kenza Dali picked up a knock on international duty, while Maz Pacheco is only on the bench having been ill.
