Before the start of this WSL campaign there had only been four weekends in total with two or more dismissals since the league was established in 2011.

Having received three red cards across their opening two WSL matches, Manchester City have by far been the side hit hardest by the new stringent crackdown on dissent and time-wasting.

Defender Alex Greenwood, who was sent off in controversial fashion for time-wasting against Chelsea last weekend, returns to the side after serving her one match suspension in midweek.

Winger Lauren Hemp, who was also sent off last Sunday for two bookable offences, one being dissent towards the match referee, was also available for selection v Bristol City but isn't in the squad.

With the strict rules seemingly here to stay in the WSL, it will be intriguing to see how quickly sides begin to adapt to them as the season progresses.

The hosts are having a period of real pressure here. They've set up shop in the final third and are holding all of the ball.

Leicester have managed to hold United off so far, but can they keep that up?

It was a good effort from Katie Zelem there but it's a save you'd expect Janina Leitzig to make from that distance.

Again it was that ball over the top to Nikita Paris that is causing problems.

After seeing out a 1-1 draw against Chelsea last week with nine players, Manchester City boss Gareth Taylor makes just one change to his side.

Khadija Shaw starts up top with Lauren Hemp, who was sent off last week, absent through injury.

Alex Greenwood was the other player sent off against Chelsea and is back in the fold having served her one-match ban against Everton in mid-week.

Goalkeeper Ellie Roebuck returns to the bench with Kiara Keating still favoured between the sticks.

Defender Leila Ouahabi is still serving a three-match ban for a red card earlier this season.

It's a busy day in the Women's Super League and a game kicks off at 13:00 BST on the other side of Manchester.

Let's take a look at how the teams line up for Manchester City's game against Bristol City.

Nikita Parris is unleashed once more with a ball over the top. She finds Lucia Garcia but her shot is blocked.

The rebound is worked to Katie Zelem and Janina Leitzig is forced into a good save to palm her curling shot behind for a corner.

Josie Green is escapes a booking after knocking Nikita Parris.

That's the second time she's fouled Parris so far and she might have been lucky to come away without a card there.

I think Leicester just need to ride this wave. They're really under the cosh here.

When they get the ball back they're going to have to try and relax again, not rush on the ball, take care of the ball for a bit.

Manchester United are dangerous once again as Leicester struggle to clear a corner.

It's knocked out as far as Maya Le Tissier who hooks it towards Melvine Malard but she can't connect with the ball.

Melvine Malard breaks free after a one-two with Hinata Miyazawa and the hosts have the best chance of the game.

She finds Nikita Parris but Janina Leitzig blocks her poked effort.

Willie Kirk noted before the game that Manchester United make mistakes and Leicester would look to exploit that.

Jenna Schillaci is right to say the hosts will have to be cautious.

I think that's the danger when you are trying to play your football out from the back against a high-pressing team like Manchester United that you are going to have mistakes but I think Willie Kirk will take those kind of mistakes because when it does work they get it spot on and that's obviously the way they want to play this season.

They've got to be very cautious to clean up those passes in their defensive third.

Janice Cayman has a chance as Courtney Nevin crosses into the middle of the Manchester United box but she can't direct the ball goalwards.

Mary Earps is attentive and punches the Leicester corner away.

Leicester break dangerously as United spill in the ball in the middle of the park.

The hosts defend well and manage to usher the ball behind for a corner.

Bodies on the line there and that's really brave defending but I think she's actually hurt herself in the process.

That's what this Leicester team are about and that's what they are going to have to do now in those areas.

I spoke to her [Josie Green] yesterday about today and she's now playing centre-back for this Leicester team, normally she's a deep-lying midfielder.

She's relishing it and says the environment is great at Leicester now. The new players who have come in have gelled straight away, she's excited about this season.
