Can United snatch the latest of late equalisers?

Fairytale stuff for a young boy who dreamed of playing the sport and became a £105m player.

Late, late drama at the Emirates and not for the first time. It was going to have an impact eventually the amount of corners Arsenal have had.
For me, the set-up of the chest was a brilliant touch because it allowed him to get a clean strike on the ball.
It does take a deflection though.
Declan Rice
Now it's Arsenal's turn to celebrate. Declan Rice, who joined the Gunners in a £100m deal from West Ham in the summer, gets his first goal in Arsenal colours - and what a time to do so.
It falls to him at the back post, he shoots at goal, it takes a nick off Jonny Evans, Andre Onana in the United goal gets a hand to it but can't keep it out.
Initial thoughts are that Onana should've done better. Arsenal fans don't care. Arsenal lead.
Martin Odegaard's shot takes a deflection for a corner. This game always provides drama. And there could be more to come.

Matt: You can love VAR and hate VAR in the same game it seems…
Adam: Garnacho giving it large with what he thought was a winner, only for VAR to wipe it off for offside, was poetry.
Rachel: There isn’t a great deal between these two teams - which is probably better news for Man Utd than it is for Arsenal!

My first gut was that he's offside. We are not bang level here but we are not miles off.
The freeze frame just shows you Gabriel was like if you are stood on the edge of something and don't want to fall off. He was holding that pose and if he had taken a natural stride he probably would have played him on.
It was a lovely finish from Garnacho one v one though.

Arsenal are reprieved.
Garnacho is just about marked offside as last man Gabriel pushed up just in time. United can't believe it.
Great drama. Arsenal survive.
Alejandro Garnacho
The substitute may have won it for the visitors.
With Arsenal pushing for a second goal themselves, Casemiro releases Alejandro Garnacho and he races through and slots it past Aaron Ramsdale.
But is he onside?
We go to VAR...
Arsenal 1-1 Manchester United
Alejandro Garnacho and Jonny Evans come on for Manchester United.
What a story for Evans, who last played a competitive game for United in 2015 and could not have expected to be back at his former club. But an injury crisis in defence sees the 35-year-old back in United colours.
Antony and Victor Lindelof are the men to make way.

Whart a chance for Bukayo Saka. He won't get a better chance to win this match, potentially.
It is just fizzed across and Saka is in the ideal position. Credit to Onana, he got down and made a good save at close range. But Saka should be burying that.
Arsenal 1-1 Manchester United
A glorious chance for Arsenal. The ball is played low from the right by Gabriel Martinelli and it falls to Bukayo Saka eight yards out. He opts to place it, instead of blast it goalwards and it hits the leg of Andre Onana and stays out.
I'm not too sure the United keeper knew much about it, but he's kept his side level anyway.
Will that miss prove costly for Mikel Arteta's side?

Gabriel does really well by getting into a good position and isolate Marcus Rashford on the left-hand side and gives time for the Arsenal players to get back in position and smother that attack.
It was a similar scenario to the first-half goal but Gabriel did really well there.

Mark: Clear as day Havertz wanted contact, didn't get it and tried to manufacture some. Great, strong refereeing to overturn that.
Ciaran: That was a great example of how VAR should be used. Good decision.
Nathan: Correct decision. Havertz accidentally kicked Wan-Bissaka with his trailing leg.

The three points are there for both sides. Who is going to be a late hero?
Arsenal 1-1 Manchester United
A triple change for the Gunners. On Gabriel Jesus, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Fabio Vieira and off go Eddie Nketiah, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Kai Havertz.

Anon: The fact that the quick vote is so split shows it wasn’t a clear and obvious mistake which means VAR should not have gotten involved, one rule for Manchester United another rule for the rest of the league clearly.
Blandy: United fan here. I'm guessing if Arsenal were playing Tottenham and it was Son who went down I'm guessing Arsenal fans would be calling for the penalty not to be given.
Arsenal 1-1 Manchester United
Ten minutes ago we asked if Arsenal should have had a penalty. It was initially given by Anthony Taylor, only for him to be told to check it on a monitor. He did, changed his original decision and said no penalty.
It's an issue that has split our readers. Twelve thousand people say it was a penalty, almost 14,000 say no it wasn't.

That is close. It is probably half a foot wide. As it comes across he just curls it first time with his right foot just shy of that near post.
