    Changes by both sides.

Norwich take off Jonathan Rowe, who opened the scoring, and replace the winger with Tony Springett.

Meanwhile, Andreas Voglsammer and Aidomo Emakhu are on for Duncan Watmore and Romain Esse for Millwall.

It's like-for-like but probably about damage limitation for the Lions now.

  3. Postpublished at 68 mins

    Norwich 3-0 Millwall

Millwall have always been known for their solid defending but their marking has been poor today.

First Ashley Barnes gets to a corner at the near post completely unmarked, then Christian Fassnacht sends a free header over the bar.

The Swiss winger should have hit the target there.

  4. Postpublished at 66 mins

    Norwich 3-0 Millwall

Millwall midfielder George Saville strikes from the edge of the area but it's blocked by the Norwich defence.

Canaries centre-backs Shane Duffy and Ben Gibson have been absolutely dominant when called upon.

  5. CLOSE!published at 64 mins

    Norwich 3-0 Millwall

    It should be 4-0.

First Josh Sargent draws a good save from Matija Sarkic after driving into the Millwall box and beating a couple of defenders.

Dimitris Giannoulis gets onto the rebound but his effort is deflected behind for a corner.

  6. Postpublished at 62 mins

    Norwich 3-0 Millwall

Back under way as Jonathan Rowe makes his way back around the touch line after on-field treatment.

Is there any way back into the game for the visitors?

Unless their gameplan suddenly changes, probably not...

  7. Postpublished at 60 mins

    Norwich 3-0 Millwall

A third of the game to go and this could get worse for Millwall with the way Norwich are playing.

Christian Fassnacht gets into space on the right and lofts in a cross.

Josh Sargent goes for a spectacular bicycle kick but only ends up kicking team-mate Jonathan Rowe in the face.

The Canaries winger needs treatment after taking a boot right in the chops.

Left foot into the far corner, absolutely brilliant, no more than Barnes deserves and Norwich are cruising.

He has been outstanding all afternoon.

What we're seeing so far this season is a different Norwich.

    Ashley Barnes

Moments after Norwich almost give a goal away with some slack play at the back, the Canaries surely have the game wrapped up now.

There's more lovely build-up play from the hosts, this time on the right as a great flick by Christian Fassnacht sets Jack Stacey up for a cross.

Millwall fail to deal with the low ball at the near post, and Ashley Barnes pivots and slots across goal and into the left-hand side-netting.

A clinical finish for the 100th league goal of his career.

  10. Postpublished at 54 mins

    Norwich 2-0 Millwall

Zian Flemming shoots... straight into the wall.

Millwall recycle the ball and George Saville has a curling effort from just outside the D.

It goes wide of the right-hand upright.

    Norwich 2-0 Millwall

Now it's Millwall who get a free-kick in a decent area as Ashley Barnes leads with his elbow when challenging for an aerial ball with Zian Flemming.

The Dutchman might fancy taking this on himself.

It's just under 30 yards out in a central position.

  12. Postpublished at 51 mins

    Norwich 2-0 Millwall

Millwall left-back Murray Wallace swings a cross into the box but the Canaries defence clear their six-yard box.

The ball breaks to Jonathan Rowe and the winger advances over halfway and onto the edge of the Lions box before blasting high and wide.

It was a strong run forward, and he didn't get much pressure from the visiting defence either.

    What a start from Norwich.

Brilliant from Josh Sargent and no more than what he's deserved.

    Josh Sargent

Norwich get the second goal their dominance of the game has deserved.

It comes from a free-kick just outside the area on the left which Gabriel Sara curls in.

Josh Sargent gets in unmarked ahead of the Millwall defence and flocks the ball onto the bottom of the right-hand post.

Lions keeper Matija Sarkic had come out trying to punch clear, and the ball bounces across the line and off the other post and in.

Millwall have a mountain to climb now.

    Norwich 1-0 Millwall

Both sides are unchanged at the break.

The game has settled back into the pattern of Norwich on the ball, and Millwall looking to get hold of it when they can.

Jonathan Rowe gets a bit of a reducer from a Lions player but the game goes on. He's ok to continue after a brief breather.

Back home, we are into the second half at Carrow Road.

Norwich have largely dominated proceedings, and Millwall have barely threatened in the final third.

The Lions will surely improve after the break. Can the Canaries stay on top?

England have been beaten in the Women's World Cup final by Spain.

  18. Saturday Championship recappublished at 12:57 British Summer Time 20 August 2023

In case you missed it, we had 10 games in the Championship yesterday among another busy day of EFL fixtures.

Ipswich and Leicester retained their perfect records at the start of this season with wins over QPR and Cardiff respectively.

Birmingham, Southampton, Preston, Hull and Stoke also all picked up their second wins of the campaign.

However, the search for a first league win goes on for Swansea, Huddersfield, Rotherham, Cardiff and Middlesbrough while newcomers Sheffield Wednesday were beaten by Preston which means they're the only team in the division to have not picked up any points yet.

    HT: Norwich 1-0 Millwall

A bit more on that penalty shout for Millwall at the end of the half.

Duncan Watmore was certain he'd been impeded as he chased a ball forward.

Norwich centre-back Ben Gibson certainly had an arm on his shoulder.

Lions skipper Shaun Hutchinson was making the case to referee Tony Harrington after the half-time whistle too.

There didn't really look enough in it.

Brilliant goal from Rowe, continuing his brilliant start to the season.

All over the pitch Norwich have dominant from one to 11.

Their work rate, their effort, it's only 1-0, it's still a long way to go. They have to keep doing what they're doing.

They need to stay switched on and capitalise on the pressure they're having.
