We have seen one of the goals of the season already tonight there from Bruno Fernandes.

I can't tell you how hard that technique is to execute.

The ball comes from Evans inside the centre circle, on an angle, and Fernandes watches it all the way onto his right foot.

He doesn't try to take it down or even take a touch, he hits it first time on the volley, smashing it past James Trafford.

Nothing the Burnley keeper could do with it, a fantastic strike!

That piece of brilliance from Bruno Fernandes does not tell you the story of the first half.

It was another insipid and lethargic showing from Manchester United, with hosts Burnley much the brighter side and looking lively in the final third.

A punch right in the guts to concede on the stroke of the break though.

On the balance of play United probably don't deserve to be leading at the break.

Yes they had a goal ruled out for offside earlier in the half, unfortunately so for Jonny Evans, but Burnley have been the better side.

The home side have had the better moves, the better chances, the better possession, but haven't been able to trouble Andre Onana too much aside from forcing him into one strong save.

An entertaining first half for sure and Manchester United lead thanks to a Bruno Fernandes stunner.
