The aforementioned Wolves are the only side in the bottom half in action today. A win over Villa will give them an already healthy-looking six point advantage over the bottom three.
Tottenham's 10-man victory at Luton yesterday took them top of the table and gave further evidence that we may have more than a two-horse race for the title this campaign.
As you can see from those placings, it is not only a big clash today for Arsenal and Man City, but also for West Ham and Newcastle and Brighton and Liverpool.
Aston Villa can keep themselves firmly in the picture too if they get a win at Wolves.
As usual, we'll be here to live text commentate on all the most important action and reaction from all four of today's Premier League games.
Radio 5 Live have already begun their coverage and will have full audio commentary of the games from the Amex Stadium and the Emirates. On 5 Live Sports Extra, there's West Ham v Newcastle.
Later, on BBC One at 22:30 BST, Match of the Day 2 will bring you highlights.
We've a lot to get through before that big game at the Emirates kicks off at 16:30 BST. Three other Premier League games for starters.
Specifically, these three...
Brighton v Liverpool
West Ham v Newcastle
Wolves v Aston Villa
All three get under way at 14:00.
Arsenal v Man City (16:30 GMT)
The meeting between Arsenal and Manchester City at the Emirates last season came later in the campaign, around February, but it proved pivotal in the title race.
Prior to the start of 2023's second month, the Gunners had lost just once. A 3-2 win over Man Utd gave them a five-point lead over second-placed City with a game in hand.
In the three games that followed, they picked up just a point, with the 3-1 home loss to City seeing Pep Guardiola's side take top spot back for the first time since November.
Arsenal would hit back with a run of 10 games unbeaten but the dye was cast, their confidence shaken. City took 37 from a possible 39 points, including another three off Mikel Arteta's men to seal yet another title.
Question is, with City currently a point above Arsenal after seven games each, just how crucial will this afternoon's result be?
For so much of last season, it appeared as though we were going to get a bit of a changing of the guard at the top of the Premier League.
Maybe not quite a fresh face in the winners' line-up, more a 'oh you guys again!' Arsenal, built back up by Mikel Arteta, had their game faces back on.
And then, the status quo was restored as we reached the business end and Manchester City swept everyone aside to take every big prize going.
Today, we get the first meeting of the season between the same two sides in a contest that could well go a long way to seeing if we'll get a repeat of last season or something a bit different in 2023-24.
