Not a great half from Arsenal and not a bad one from Sheffield United. One moment of magic in attack - or switching off at the back - depending how you view it is the difference. Arsenal were a bit slow with the ball and apart from the goal the Blades shape and organisation has been good.

Off we go again.

Arsenal have the edge at the Emirates. Can one of the three teams in the bottom three do something in this second half to nab a precious win?

Chelsea

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "I'm really disappointed. The game doesn't reflect the performance. We are talking a lot about the performance, it's about being nasty and clinical in the final third. I think we conceded the first or second chances in the final third. We also need to be more clinical and be strong. That is disappointing because I thought we dominated and created chances, but if you don't score the confidence goes down."

On their lack of cutting edge: "It's important that we need to try to change these things. The team is all affected. We need to work really hard to change this dynamic. In the first half I think it's really disappointing because we dominated, we didn't allow them to go forward, we didn't allow them one shot on target. We should score, that is our fault. We need to be more nasty in the last third. We need to be more clinical."

On how difficult it has been in front of goal: "It's a process. We need time to believe and keep going. The most difficult thing is to create belief. Sometimes when you're not playing well you can win and that is because you have the real trust, the real belief. It's a very young group who we need to improve in this area more than any other. It's more about building our mentality and our trust. When this types of results arrive sometimes it delays what we want a little bit."

Safe to say Thomas Frank was more upbeat than his opposite number...

Brentford

Brentford manager Thomas Frank speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "You always enjoy a win. I think the first half performance, I don't think we were that good actually. Chelsea did well and were definitely on the front foot. Our usual high pressure was not good. On the ball we weren't cool enough, not enough quality.

"I asked the players for belief at half-time, there were definitely opportunities to get some passes in and play with Chelsea as well. Then of course we stepped up massively on the defensive side.

"We scored two goals where the first came a little out of nothing and then a big counter-attacking opportunity afterwards."

On the difference between the two halves: "First half we didn't push up high enough. We know our structure is so good and the discipline between the lads is so good so we're calm while defending which is the really good thing."

On Brentford's record at Stamford Bridge: "It's impressive. I think sometimes it's a coincidence that we've managed to win here three times. But it's very impressive that we can do that being Brentford given the players and the budget Chelsea have.

"First half I would say Chelsea were good and you can see the potential in the squad. That's why I think they have a great future ahead of them."

On Brentford's record in London derbies: "I think that's a coincidence. I don't know exactly why we have a hit rate against the London sides but I'm pretty sure the supporters are happy with it!"

That's where Brentford caused another scene by winning at neighbours Chelsea.

It all just feels so routine for Arsenal today. They haven't really had to get out of first gear today.

Sheffield United will be bitterly disappointed going in at half time having conceded a very sloppy goal. That has been their downfall so far this season and has cost them again this afternoon.

Both teams can only get better in the second half.

The one goal will have to do for Arsenal.

Eddie Nketiah's clinical strike proves the difference as the Gunners look to cut Tottenham's lead at the top of the Premier League to two points.

To the left, take it back, to the right now... Arsenal are doing the Cha Cha Slide.

The home side try all their best moves in three minutes of stoppage time, with Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka taking turns down either flank.

Neither can stomp it down on Sheffield United as the Gunners search for a second goal.

Unsurprisingly, a game between two sides in the relegation zone isn't high on quality.

We've seen two fine goals, though.

Bournemouth may just have shaded it on territory and chances, but this is there to be won for either side.

Philip Billing is set up on the edge of the box but his shot is rising from the moment it leaves his boot and clears the bar.

Did James Trafford carry the ball out his own box there after gathering ahead of Antoine Semenyo?

I think he might just have released the ball before leaving the box.

Promising first half performance so far from Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott.

The former Bristol City player has looked to get on the ball and pull the strings, he has quality to pass through the lines and his set pieces have been dangerous for the home side.

Fiz: No offence to Sheffield United but Arsenal really need to be raking in the goals in games like this at home.

Antoine Semenyo has had a good first half.

He is found on the right before cutting inside for a shot that deflects past the near post of the Burnley goal.

A flurry of corners for Arsenal as the first half moves towards a conclusion. The latest sees Blades keeper Wes Foderingham unconvincingly punch clear and the Blades survive.

Sheffiled United have just taken a thrown in just beyond Arteta on the touchline, about 20 yards into the Arsenal half. And they immediately threw it backwards.

So, so negative from the visitors.Where is the intent to go and win a corner or get down the wing?

I just think that is the mindset that they are in at the minute. They just want to retain the ball when they do get hold of it.

Arsenal carve a chance to extend their lead but it is a relatively comfortable save by Wes Foderingham at a nice height from Gabriel Martinelli's shot.

Marcus Tavernier gets in down the left but his cross is headed behind for a corner.

James Trafford is stuck in a group but gets a punch to the delivery only for the home side to come again to create a chance Chris Mepham can't convert in the box, the ball getting stuck under his feet.
