What is actually going on? Has the tech failed?

    Bournemouth 2-1 Burnley

This is ridiculous. I know they want to get this stuff right, but this is killing the game. It's dragging on and on.

"This is embarrassing," sing fans in the ground.

  3. Postpublished at 16:50 British Summer Time 28 October 2023

    Arsenal 4-0 Sheffield United

Going to be 10 minutes of added time at the Emirates.

Time for an encore or two for the Gunners.

Did you correctly guess which two Arsenal players have scored four times in a Premier League match? Andrey Arshavin and, yep, you must have guessed it, Thierry Henry.

This is taking an age to decide!

    Bournemouth 2-1 Burnley

I think Rodriguez might be off by a chest hair or two.

It's a defender on the far side - Lloyd Kelly - that might be playing him on.

  6. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 16:47 British Summer Time 28 October 2023

    Bournemouth 2-1 Burnley

Burnley think they do have an equaliser as Jay Rodriguez breaks through and bobbles a finish into the far corner.

It is going to be tight on VAR...

    Fabio Vieira (89 mins)

The gloss added on a very thorough job from Arsenal.

Substitute Fabio Vieira won the penalty and calmly strokes in the spot-kick with Wes Foderingham sent the other way.

  8. PENALTY TO ARSENALpublished at 16:46 British Summer Time 28 October 2023

    Arsenal 3-0 Sheffield United

    Given.

Eddie Nketiah could try to score his fourth of the game and become only the third Arsenal player - after who? - to do that in a Premier League game.

Instead he gives the ball to the man who won it, Fabio Vieira...

    Bournemouth 2-1 Burnley

A couple of minutes of the 90 to go. Burnley don't look like they've got an equaliser in them.

  10. 'That is a penalty'published at 16:44 British Summer Time 28 October 2023

    Arsenal 3-0 Sheff Utd

    Stephen Warnock
Former England and Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

    That is a penalty.

Norwood is shaking his head but he has gotten that one wrong.

He clearly stomps on the back of the Achilles of Vieira, who has every right to stay down and ask for treatment.

The one major question was whether the incident happened inside the area, but it did. So has to be given.

Another penalty shout for Arsenal and this time it looks like the decision not to give it will be overturned.

Fabio Vieira is chopped down by Oliver Norwood on the very edge of the area, with referee Tim Robinson told to go to the pitchside monitor.

    We know what that means...

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:43 British Summer Time 28 October 2023

    Arsenal 3-0 Sheffield United

Highly doubt that Sheffield United substitute Ryan One will be able to turn this game in his side's favour, but it is still going to be a game which the 17-year-old and his family will never forget.

The summer signing from Scottish side Hamilton is on for his Premier League debut.

    Chris Hargreaves
    Former Brentford midfielder

It was great vision and technique from Billing, he has had a solid game in midfield for the Cherries and capped it with a superb goal.

It's been a really good performance from Bournemouth today, the back four have been the building block for it limiting Burnley to very few chances.

Burnley are throwing the proverbial 'kitchen sink' at it with their changes.

    Bournemouth 2-1 Burnley

    Chris Sutton
Former Chelsea striker on Final Score

It is so good from Billing! James Trafford is so far off his line.

He has shown him that and said to Billing 'are you capable of that?' and we've seen the answer. That's horrific goalkeeping.

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:40 British Summer Time 28 October 2023

    Bournemouth 2-1 Burnley

Bournemouth send on Joe Rothwell and Milos Kerkez to make them a bit tougher to beat.

Burnley make a double change, sending on Mike Tresor and Nathan Redmond to try and find an equaliser.

Nice routine win for Arsenal but Kai Havertz still worryingly anonymous!

    Bill

I'm assuming Sutton is joking when he suggests Chelsea will get a cricket score against Sheff Utd. They couldn't score against a team with no defence or GK.

  17. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 16:39 British Summer Time 28 October 2023

    Arsenal 3-0 Sheffield United

Eddie Nketiah tumbles in the box after a clumsy coming together with Blades centre-back Auston Trusty.

Not sure it is a foul and, more importantly, referee Tim Robinson doesn't think so either.

What about the VAR? Agreed. Not enough in it.

  18. Postpublished at 16:37 British Summer Time 28 October 2023

    Arsenal 3-0 Sheffield United

Still a lot of defending for Sheffield United to do.

Arsenal may have made a few changes but they have not taken their foot off the gas.

Declan Rice drives into the penalty box on the prowl for a fourth, requiring a bank of Blades defenders to stop him.

  19. Postpublished at 16:36 British Summer Time 28 October 2023

    Bournemouth 2-1 Burnley

    Chris Hargreaves
    Former Brentford midfielder

Burnley have to find that bit of edge that saw them dominate the Championship last season.

They are still trying to control possession, but going forward they need to find Rodriguez more often. He can score goals but he needs service.

Bournemouth look the more dangerous side in attacking areas, they have pace with Semenyo and with Aarons bombing on from right back, they are prepared to put crosses into the box.

  20. Postpublished at 16:36 British Summer Time 28 October 2023

    Bournemouth 2-1 Burnley

Now Burnley have to offer something in attack.

The Cherries have been pushing most of this half and now they have a precious lead that could lead to their first win of the season.
