We were just talking about raising the tempo and then Saka and Martinelli link up really well again.

It's a really lovely finish from Saka, very composed.

A quick throw-in from Arsenal sends Gabriel Martinelli on his way in midfield.

He spins away and threads it through to Bukayo Saka, who has space to run into on the right.

He cuts inside, beats the full-back and slots it past goalkeeper Marko Dmitrović.

    Lovely finish.

    Top stuff.

Lovely build-up. Declan Rice flicks it on to Leandro Trossard and he curls it wide.

He seemed to get mixed up between deciding on whether to cross or shoot.

    Arsenal 1-0 Sevilla

Sevilla have definitely tightened it up a little bit at the back since half-time but they are still struggling to create anything.

For the first time it seems, Gabriel Martinelli doesn't get in behind on the left as he's blocked off by an angry-looking Loic Bade.

  14. 'Not in a million years'published at 21:12 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2023

HT: FC Cogenhagen 2-2 Man Utd

Owen Hargreaves, speaking to TNT Sports on Marcus Rashford's red card: "No, not in a million years. Marcus is just trying to put his leg in front of the ball. He's not even looking at the ball. When you see a still as a referee, it looks horrendous. It's not malicious, it's not serious foul play."

Paul Scholes: "I think that's where the understanding of the referee has to come into it. It's an accident. He's trying to plant his foot and protect the ball."

Gabriel Martinelli gets away on the left and chips it into the box but nobody has taken a risk to get into the six-yard area. It just bobbles away harmlessly on the far side.

Paul: Utd have done absolutely zero wrong all game (bar Harry's ever so slightly wayward hand), but modern rules and officiating have ruined a perfectly good performance. Can't be right.

Kieran: 4 pens conceded in 4 group games for Utd but 3 of them very harsh. Rotten luck not helping poor form.

Eoin (Man Utd fan): No complaints about the red card from me!

That first half was Manchester United's season summed up in 45 minutes.

Two goals for Rasmus Hojlund on his return to Copenhagen, a pitch invader, an injury to Jonny Evans, a red card for Marcus Rashford followed by two goals for the hosts including a penalty after a Harry Maguire handball.

And still another 45 minutes to come...

Steve: What are people watching? That tackle by Rashford was a proper ankle breaker, he steps across the space and brings his foot down aggressively. How the ref didn't give it when he was 3 yards away is more shocking.

Jack: People get too defensive over red cards. Yes, it was an accident by Rashford. Yes, he could have broken his leg. Yes, ultimately, that should be a red card, even if there was no intent. It may change games, but so do accidentally missed chances and inadvertently fumbled shots. As long as the rules are applied consistently, player protection should always be the priority.
