PSG are trying to force it and are running out of ideas. I don't think they've got anything on the bench.

Kang-in Lee's touch is too heavy in the middle and Bruno Guimarães nips in to take it off him.
Guimaraes tries to break but Lee grabs his shirt and stops him. It's a yellow card for the PSG man.

PSG are so frustrating to watch. The game plan seems to be as basic as get the ball and run full speed toward the opposition goal. Works on a Sunday morning but maybe not in the CL.

Paris St-Germain 0-1 Newcastle
Newcastle get nine men behind the ball and PSG spend a few minutes passing from side-to-side before they give up and turn back.
There's no way through for the hosts.
Man City 0-2 RB Leipzig

Joelinton plays in Alexander Isak and he's one-on-one with Danilo but can't get around him. An early sniff for Newcastle in the second half.

I mentioned earlier about Timo Werner and the fact he wouldn't have started tonight even if the former Chelsea man had been fit.
The reason is Lois Openda.
RB Leipzig paid a club record fee, which could rise to €45m (£38.95m), to French club Lens for the Belgian in the summer.
He has been outstanding so far.

I'm guessing that Chelsea will be adding Lois Openda to their ever-growing January shopping list...

Pep Guardiola responds to that woeful first half display by sending on Nathan Ake for Ruben Dias.
Back under way in both matches. Will Manchester City respond? Can Newcastle hold on?

Will Lois Openda be taking the match ball back to Germany with him?
He is the first Belgian player to score a Champions League brace since Romelu Lukaku for Inter Milan in 2020.

There has been a touching tribute here to former England manager Terry Venables, who died over the weekend aged 80 following a long illness.
Venables became Barcelona boss in the summer of 1984 and guided them to the La Liga title in his first season - their first Spanish championship since 1974.
They also narrowly missed out on becoming European champions in 1986 when they lost in the final of the European Cup on penalties against Romanian side Steaua Bucharest.
He was dismissed in September 1987, but left with a record of 86 wins and only 29 losses from his 168 games in charge.
His picture was on the big screen in the stadium with both sets of players lining up around the centre circle for a perfectly observed minute’s silence.
On the pitch, this is a vital match in Group H tonight with both Barcelona and Porto on nine points from four matches following Barca’s shock 1-0 loss to Shakhtar Donetsk earlier this month.
Shakhtar, on six points, will be confident of beating a Royal Antwerp side that have lost all four games in the other group match but five-time European champions Barca know a win tonight will take them into the last 16 of the Champions League for the first time in three seasons.
HT: Man City 0-2 RB Leipzig
Pep Guardiola has come back once from a two-goal deficit in his Champions League managerial career.
It happened when he was in charge of Bayern Munich against Juventus in the second leg of the 2015-16 quarter-finals (0-2 at half-time, 4-2 win after extra time).

You've got to say that Newcastle thoroughly deserve their lead at half-time.
