Pep Guardiola is scribbling something into a note book as he consults his back room staff on the bench. How many changes will the City boss make at half-time? Surely he has to respond to this poor first half display?

  13. Top spot under threat for Man Citypublished at 20:41 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2023

    Man City 0-2 RB Leipzig

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport at the Etihad Stadium

Manchester City only needed a draw to secure top spot.

In actual fact, a one goal defeat would have still meant they were above RB Leipzig as if two sides are level on points, the determining factor is their head-to-head record.

City won 3-1 in Germany, so effectively we are now at 3-3. Away goals don't count.

Pep Guardiola's side really need not to concede again.

OK, what's happened to the real Manchester City?

They are unrecognisable. One of the poorest displays under Pep Guardiola.

Yet there is still time for them to turn it around.
