Toulouse have lost all three of their games against English clubs... all against Liverpool.

Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher, speaking to the club website: "We’ve got some good momentum [in the Europa League]. We had a big win the last time out and won our other two games as well, so we’re just looking to add to that and continue winning ways in the competition.

"It won’t be an easy game, especially away from home. I thought their fans were very good when they came to us so I’m expecting a good atmosphere there. I think it will be a tougher challenge than the last game.

"The main objective was always qualifying first from the group. So, I think if we can do that as early as we can, then we’ll be happy. We’re preparing for a win and we want to get the win.

"Our main aim is to win any competition we’re in. But we have to take that step by step, and we’ve taken this competition very seriously from the start.

"We’ll just look to continue it and hopefully wrap up qualification by the end of this game."

In the latest episode of Brighton podcast Albion Unlimited, BBC Radio Sussex's Johnny Cantor discusses the immense progress made by the Seagulls before tonight's match:

"In terms of the enormity of the game, you only have to look at the name of the stadium, the Johan Cruyff Arena.

"That is a player that transformed football and is the epitome of Dutch football and everything they represent. I think it will be a brilliant atmosphere.

"With everything that’s happening at the club, the way they’re looking forward, what they’re doing with the men, the women, the infrastructure and the fan zones, they are constantly looking to progress and this is major progression.

"I think this is a milestone, and that is no disrespect to Marseille. That atmosphere was incredible, but the fact that they are rubbing shoulders with Ajax is testament to how far they’ve come.

"But, of course it is all about results. The group is wide open and it is a good opportunity. Albion have to continue to get points on the board."

I think Liverpool are probably shocked at how Luton went after them. But if they had won that game, they would have been only one point off Manchester City.

City are looking over their shoulders and there is that game between them coming up just after the international break. I think Liverpool are adapting well - it’s just that midfield area where they can’t find the right formula in the centre of the pitch.

I don’t take much from Jurgen Klopp's team selection against Toulouse today. They are going to qualify quite comfortably so they will be looking towards the weekend. What will his team and formation be for that?

I’d be shocked if they lose a game in the Europa League. In the later stages, it depends who you get but Liverpool are going to be right in the mix for that, without a doubt.

The trip to Amsterdam is going to be a special occasion for Brighton's Dutch contingent.

Seagulls defender Joel Veltman played more than 200 games for Ajax after coming through the famed 'Die Toekomst' youth system and returns to play a competitive club match for the first time.

Goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen and defender Jan Paul van Hecke, whose uncle Jan Poortvliet played in the 1978 World Cup final for the Netherlands, also return to their homeland.

"We’re really excited and we’re looking forward to it," said Van Hecke.

"I know it’s a big club with a big history and when the stadium is full it will be an incredible atmosphere.

"There is always pressure, we need three points and this team plays every game to win."

Ajax have been in turmoil this season - but there have been signs of optimism in recent weeks.

For a club who usually see finishing second in the Eredivisie as a cause for concern, they plumbed to unimaginable depths last month - bottom of the Dutch top-flight after winning only one of their opening eight games,

Since appointing new boss John van 't Schip to sort out the mess, they have won back-to-back league games and cruised to a 4-1 victory against Heerenveen at the weekend.

"They are very different because they changed the coach," Brighton head coach Roberto de Zerbi said.

"I watched [the game against Heerenveen] on Sunday. They played a good game and won an important game. They scored four goals, they are different."

Good news just in that Liverpool forward Luis Diaz's father has been released by the left-wing guerrillas who kidnapped him 13 days ago, police sources and local media say.

Luis Manuel Díaz was handed over to United Nations and Catholic church officials by members of the National Liberation Army (ELN).

He was abducted on 28 October in the family's hometown, Barrancas.

The footballer's mother was also seized, but was freed within hours.

Local media said Mr Díaz was travelling by military helicopter to the city of Valledupar, where he would undergo a medical examination before being returned to his family.
