The whole second half has been all Northern Ireland but again we just can't find that magic moment which is going to turn into a goal.

Shea Charles does really well to win the ball in Kazakhstan's right back position and he feeds Conor Washington, who has acres of space.

The striker looks to bend the ball in the far corner but he takes too long to get the shot away and Kazakhstan can get the block in to clear.

Ali McCann was sprinting in at the back post and if Washington had got his head up then he could have found his man.

There's very little to chose between these two sides.

I'm not sure if they are as good as one another or as bad as one another, but certainly the number of times the ball has been given away unnecessarily is really too much for international football.

Smyth drives to the line and fires in a low cross, but again the yellow shirts are able to clear.

Northern Ireland have been far better in the second half but are still lacking that clinical edge.

They've 25 minutes to find a goal or two.

Jordan Jones is on in place of Matty Kennedy. That should be a straight swap out wide.

Shea Charles races onto a clearance but his long-range shot is straight at Shatsky.

Timur Dosmagambetov has a shot but he drags it wide.

Kuat goes down in the area and is appealing for a penalty, but a VAR check shows there was nothing wrong as Trai Hume challenged for the ball.

That was hopeful, to say the least.

That break in play has taken the momentum out of Northern Ireland at the minute and has let Kazakhstan into it a little bit.

Northern Ireland have started the second half brightly.

Paul Smyth again looks full of energy and drive - as he did when he came off the bench on Thursday - and Michael O'Neill's side have continued to have more of the ball.

That shot on the turn by Conor Washington has given them hope but they need to make sure they maintain the momentum they have generated since the break.

Paul Smyth finds space out wide and has a go but he gets it all wrong and it's out for a throw on the far side.

He's definitely causing problems though.

Kazakhstan's goalscorer Maksim Samorodov, who scored the opener and made a big impact at the other end, has taken a bang and is forced off.

Islambek Kuat comes on in his place.

He looks like he is dragged down outside the area but the referee says it wasn't a foul.

Shea Charles has a shot from range and Conor Washington gets a touch to help it on its way, but the home goalkeeper gets down well to push the ball away.
