In the absence of Luka Modric, Jude Bellingham is assuming a huge amount of responsibility in this Real Madrid line-up.

He was screaming for a pass from Dani Carvajal that never came when he was well placed to score and then lofted a superb one for the full-back from about 35 yards out.

It is amazing to think he has so much time to improve.

He is one of the best in the world already.

Real Sociedad eventually regain possession after that torrent of attacks from the hosts and pass it around the Madrid midfield to try and slow things down.

Now Alex Remiro has to make another to deny Dani Carvajal from close range. Two big stops to keep Sociedad's lead in tact.

The tempo is not letting up. The ball drops to Joselu on the edge of the Sociedad box and Alex Remiro is forced to make a save.

After seeing the replay it looks like that strike took a deflection of the offside Mikel Oyarzabal. That was a good call.

What a shame for Takefusa Kubo.
