Femi Azeez has certainly not had the best 90 minutes but wow - what a strike. As soon as it left his boot you could see the keeper had no chance. Fantastic strike!

The introduction of Lewis Wing gave Reading a stability in midfield they had been lacking beforehand.

He's been the second-half difference.

Aldershot have got quality but Stockport have got their noses in front and you’d expect that, as a league club, they’ll stay in front.

Sam Smith certainly isn't getting the benefit of the doubt from this lino because he's timed his run to perfection for Reading twice now and been pinged both times.

Both times, the first-touch was like placing a wedding ring on a silk cushion. Beautiful. Wasted.

Reading's Harlee Dean powered forward but his supporting run in the box was the kind a centre-half in nosebleed territory might make, and Paul Mukairu's cross drifts just simply into Joe McDonnell's path in the Eastleigh goal.

Reading again. Same story though.

Amadou Mbengue arcs the perfect cross into the middle from the right for the Royals, but a rising Sam Smith can't get over the ball and it booms over the top.

The opportunities are racking up now.

Reading push again. Femi Azeez crosses to the back post, it's nodded down smartly for the on-rushing Clinton Mola - but his half-way house of a miskick is tame at best.

Didn't trust himself to give it the requisite beans.

The final ball today has been so poor from Reading.

Lewis Wing drifted a perfect back-spin pass into Amadou Mbengue down the right to get Reading in behind.

Whacked it like a clearance.

I just think with the chances Eastleigh missed in the first half and their disallowed goal that the game could have been over. But it’s not and Reading are still well in this.

Lewis Wing races forward, piling into the Eastleigh box after good work from Femi Azeez, but Joe McDonnell makes a smart save.

Wing then tumbles in a 50-50 with an Eastleigh defender for Reading, but there was a touch before it went out. No penalty.

It’s a job really well done by Chesterfield in the first half. We’ve got to be mindful and respect that Leyton Orient are 16th in League One. They’ve got quality players and will create an opportunity in the second half. But I do think Chesterfield deserve the lead.

Reading look to have fashioned a great chance as Lewis Wing slings a perfect ball over the top and Sam Smith's first touch is velvety-soft.

However, the linesman's flag means it's all in vain. He looked on to me.
