    Scotland 0-1 Belgium

Former Scotland goalkeeper on BBC Scotland

    Second balls, isn't it?

We're not quick enough to the second ball. They're caught ball watching and I think it might be Grimshaw who loses Missipo off the back shoulder.

It's a good header and a great ball in, but it's not good enough from Scotland.

Search 'sucker punch' in the dictionary and you'll see a pic of Missipo's goal.

    Dearie me.

And Belgium score from the set piece.

They recycle the ball well and a looped cross finds Kassandra Missipo at the back-stick. Easy finish for the Sassuolo midfielder to head beyond Lee Gibson.

    It's headed over. Corner coming...

  5. Postpublished at 51 mins

    Scotland 0-0 Belgium

Belgium have their foot on the ball for a wee spell here. That hasn't been the case for much of the night, it's the first time they've really knocked it around the back.

They've now got a free kick in the attacking third...

  6. 'Belgium there for the taking'published at 47 mins

    Scotland 0-0 Belgium

    Amy Canavan
    BBC Scotland at Hampden Park

Not even thirsty, but nipped down for a cuppa just for something to do...

Belgium are there for the taking, it's down to Scotland to rip 'em open. They've lapped up the crosses being swung in.

Sam Kerr, I'm looking at you to step up in that midfield. Nae pressure.

Right. More of the same, just with the shooting boots on.

We're back at it at Hampden.

    Leanne Crichton
Former Scotland international on BBC Scotland

I think performance-wise it's been good, they've probably just lacked that cutting edge. I know the surface has been slick but I think there will be moments where they'll be disappointed and could've done better.

I think when you're at home, you always have that nervy feel to it as well. People are expecting a performance, but there's been opportunities and I think that's really positive.

  9. Grimshaw goes closepublished at 20:45 British Summer Time 26 September 2023

    HT: Scotland 0-0 Belgium

She's had three or four chances tonight, but this one might be the most frustrating for Christy Grimshaw.

The AC Milan midfielder saw a later opportunity tipped spectacularly wide. This one, though, was straight down the throat of Nicky Evrard. Either side would surely have put Scotland in the lead.

  10. 'Scots need to force Belgium shift'published at 20:43 British Summer Time 26 September 2023

    HT: Scotland 0-0 Belgium

    Jen Beattie
Former Scotland defender on BBC Scotland

Scotland have taken confidence from the game against England and taken it into tonight. For me, they just need to have a bit more quality in the final third. We are not shifting Belgian enough from side to side to create those openings.

  11. England and Netherlands drawingpublished at 20:40 British Summer Time 26 September 2023

    HT: Scotland 0-0 Belgium

I'll give you full-time when it comes around, but just so you ken, it's 1-1 with eight minutes to go in the other game in Group A1.

Lieke Martins opened the scoring for the Netherlands but Alessia Russo levelled for England with 25 minutes to go.

    Will there be a winner?

  12. Without Weirpublished at 20:38 British Summer Time 26 September 2023

    HT: Scotland 0-0 Belgium

When you're in the ascendancy but failing to truly cut a team open, it sometimes take a moment of magic.

Without Caroline Weir's wand of a left foot, Scotland will have to come up with a different answer if they're to pick up three points here.

Here's hoping our star in Spain is back quicker than uno, dos, tres.

  13. HALF-TIME Scotland 0-0 Belgiumpublished at 20:34 British Summer Time 26 September 2023

Scotland racked up a good few chances, particularly through the tireless Christy Grimshaw, but are yet to find a breakthrough at Hampden.

Belgium have been impressively robust, and perhaps could have had a penalty after the ball looked to strike the arm of Rachel Corsie.

As we learned on Friday though, there's no VAR in the Nations League...

  14. Postpublished at 45 mins

Belgium really aren't shy of a tackle. They might just keep sticking them in at half-time on eachother in the changing room.

  15. Postpublished at 44 mins

    Scotland 0-0 Belgium

Scotland have certainly been the better team. A goal before half-time wouldn't go amiss, troops.

Well organised, are Belgium. Really frustrating the Scotland attack, and it's quite the attack.

Wouldn't like to the see the miles Rachel McLauchlan and Nicola Docherty have put in. Up and down the flanks non-stop.

    Exhausted watching them.

  17. 'Evrard denies certain goal'published at 40 mins

    Scotland 0-0 Belgium

    Gemma Fay
Former Scotland goalkeeper on BBC Scotland

It's an excellent cross, a brilliant header and a good save there. Grimshaw does ever so well to get anything on this.

She has to reach for it but Evrard gets across and denies a certain goal there for Scotland

  18. YELLOW CARDpublished at 39 mins

Into the book goes Pedro Martinez Losa. Not entirely sure why, he seemed to be upset about something.

To be fair, I'd have booked him as soon as he walked out in a full suit with white trainers on.

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 38 mins

    Scotland 0-0 Belgium

Christy Grimshaw has spruned a couple already, but you've got to say fair play to Nicky Evrard there.

The Belgium goalkeeper flies across goal to claw the Scotland midfielder's header and turn it round the post.

  20. Postpublished at 35 mins

I don't think the Belgians are wrong to be shouting there btw.

If it was the other way round I'd be out my seat.
