Blackburn were exposed down the left-back channel and the early cross into the box went across the two central defenders.
Jamie Vardy's first touch set him up to score. The change of pace he showed when he knew the ball was coming into the box, it was proper centre forward movement from Vardy.
Jamie Vardy
Absolutely no mistake with this one.
And it's an even harder chance - but Jamie Vardy restores Leicester's lead.
Abdul Fatawu plays the ball down the right and Wilfred Ndidi plays an early cross into the box.
It looks to have forced Vardy wide at the back post but he takes a touch before firing a left-footed half-volley which flashes high into the Rovers net.
A brilliant strike for his fourth goal of the season.

That set up perfectly for Vardy to hit on the volley. It was so close and hit the top of the crossbar, but he will be disappointed not to make the keeper work.
It was so close to making it 2-1 to Leicester.
Blackburn 1-1 Leicester
Almost a Jamie Vardy stunner.
He spins away after getting a throw-in and unleashes a half-volley from the corner of the box.
It doesn't quite dip enough and hits the top of the crossbar. Rovers keeper Anysley Pears was well beaten there.
Blackburn 1-1 Leicester
Warning signs for Rovers.
A poor touch by a Blackburn defender gifts the ball to Leicester but Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall's attempted pass to Jamie Vardy is over-hit and the former England striker can't control.
Moments later the Foxes win another corner and Wout Faes is left completely unmarked.
But the ball clears the big defender and Blackburn head away.

This has been a really open game so far. Leicester have so much quality on the pitch but Rovers are getting joy with balls behind their high back line.
Sometimes with these early kick-offs you see a slow start - both goals were from the sides not quite being awake to danger but we’ve certainly had action.

Blackburn have started really well, they are setting traps.
They're trying to lure the Leicester defenders out so there are gaps tp exploit when they win the ball back.
Blackburn 1-1 Leicester
Good play from Rovers in the final third but they can't make anything of it.
Arnor Sigurdsson is forced back and Sammie Szmodics looks to play in Callum Brittain.
But the right-back can't quite control a ball over the top and it runs out of play.
Blackburn 1-1 Leicester
Arnor Sigurdsson gets played into the Leicester box on the left but Ricardo Pereira watches him all the way and manages to divert the ball away from the forward as he looked to cut back onto his right foot.
Good defending.
Blackburn 1-1 Leicester
Another foul by Abdul Fatawu - this time in the attacking third - as he pulls Harry Pickering down after failing to control a ball out to him.
The Leicester winger will need to be a bit careful now.
Blackburn 1-1 Leicester
Leicester winger Abdul Fatawu becomes the first name in the referee's book after a trip on Harry Pickering just outside the box on the left.
He had already had a talking to from ref James Linnington for a foul inside the Foxes half.
Rovers can't take advantage of the decent position from the free-kick, as Sammie Szmodics curls the ball right into the keeper's arms.
Blackburn 1-1 Leicester
Another Leicester error gives Rovers another chance.
Jannik Vestergaard is aimlessly dawdling on the ball in the centre-circle and gets tackled.
Andy Moran breaks through the centre but probably takes the wrong option, feeding Dilan Markanday on the right rather than Sammy Szmodics on the left.
Markanday checks back onto his left foot and his low shot is saved by Mads Hermansen at his near post.
Blackburn 1-1 Leicester
It's been a breathless start.
Leicester took advantage of lax defending to take the lead, but then effectively gifted Rovers an equaliser.
Quite a few of these players are yet to switch on after the midday kick-off.
Andy Moran has just volleyed wide for Blackburn from a narrow angle inside the area.

It's a great finish from Sammie Szmodics but that's all down to the pressing from Lewis Travis.
Sammie Szmodics
Blackburn are level after Leicester get it all wrong at the back.
Keeper Mads Hermansen looks to play it out to Harry Winks on the edge of the box but Lewis Travis is there to pick the midfielder's pocket.
The ball falls to Sammie Szmodics, who takes a touch and steps inside Ricardo Pereira before blasting in from just outside the six-yard box.
Good composure to get Rovers back in the contest.
Blackburn 0-1 Leicester
The second corner goes into the box, and eventually falls for Andy Moran to hit from inside the box but Wout Faes blocks and Leicester eventually clear.
Blackburn 0-1 Leicester
It's the worst possible start for Rovers.
They win their own corner on the right after James Justin is pressured into an error.
The hosts take it quick and short and work it to Sammie Szmodics inside the box, and the forward has his angled effort blocked and behind for another corner.

Set-pieces and switching off has been a big thing defensively for Blackburn. You can't allow people to get free headers.
It's a great header but where was the marking? It's not the start Blackburn wanted.
It's a massive test now.
Wout Faes
Leicester take an early lead, and it's a straightforward move from a short corner on the right.
The ball is laid back to Abdul Fatawu and the Ghana winger international curls his left footed cross to the back post.
Wout Faes is there to meet it and head firmly back across goal.
Could Aynsley Pears have done better? It was all to easy for the Foxes.
