Burnley
Burnley head coach Vincent Kompany speaking to Sky Sports: “I’m happy for the group, happy for the fans and already substituting it for preparing for the next game and moving on.
"We know this team can get results it’s a nice reward today.
“Performances have been good, if I have to sum up now what we showed today, first half some really good bits, some good chances.
"I thought we showed a lot of quality in phases in the second half I don’t think we looked after the ball well enough.
“Defensively we showed character, clearances, headers coming back for the second balls. That gave us the chance to win the game.
“Many people in the Premier League don’t know the history of our team in the Championship we didn’t get given anything we struggled, we had moments where we’d concede a goal late on.
"It’s part of the belief in this team we’ve got to show character and grit our fans know we have it and today we just showed to the Premier League what we’re used to but this game is done now we have to move on.”
On what it means to win his first game as a Premier League manager: “It’s nice to win as a manager I’ve had the experience of winning in the Premier League so I’m alright.
“I’m just ready to go for the next game. I’m ready to try and bring the first win at Turf Moor as well that’s important for us."

Luton Town
Luton boss Rob Edwards, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "I am really proud of the players and the performance, I thought they gave everything. I think they shaded the first half, but in the second we completely dominated them, threw everything at them. We had 15 shots inside the box tonight and scored once so that is an area we know we can improve in. When we scored and had the momentum I was lost in the moment too. We have to be able to flick that switch. It was a wonderful finish but there are areas where we can be better. It is disappointing, I almost have to remove the emotion of that goal from my head and think about the performance overall. The fans were engaged, it was a brilliant night and the players were terrific.
"We can control the effort. And if the performance is right you give yourself a chance of getting points on the board. If we don't perform we have no chance this year. We performed well tonight and lost which shows the task we have. It was similar when we played them last season. We played well and they won 1-0. They are a good team and difficult to play against but I thought we showed that tonight.
"I thought we had momentum for the whole second half. We were pressing and creating chances. Didn't take them. And then when we did I thought this could be a brilliant night when we turn it around late on. Credit to them for finding a way to win.
"It is a big game now at the weekend against a big, big team. So let's pick ourselves up, recover well and get focused for that one. We will have disappointments this season and we need to be able to stick our chests out, believe in what we are doing. We are all pulling in the same, right direction. The fans will stick with us when they see us putting that effort in. They are proud of these players."

Luton Town
Luton Town boss Rob Edwards speaking to Sky Sports: "I can take a lot from that tonight they’re a good team they’re difficult to play against.
“We showed our true selves tonight loads of good things, loads of good individual performances, as a collective the lads kept fighting got back in the game and I’ve got to try and take that one bit almost out of it because it can be emotional.
“I’ve got to look at the performance as a whole. There’s lots to be proud of.”
On performance and atmosphere: “This is where we want to be, we want to compete we want to get points and win games of football as well and tonight I do think we deserved to.
“We are dissappoinetd. It was a great atmosphere. They make this place rock and the players really fed off that and gave them something to shout about particularly in the second half.”

Burnley
Burnley manager Vincent Kompany, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "It feels great, three points in the Premier League. We had to battle for it and I am proud of the team for what they showed today.
"We showed what got us through in the Championship last season. Too much is said about what we do on the ball. If you really want to judge us watch us off the ball, in the battles. Last year, we had lots of games like this and again - like at Newcastle and Man Utd - this is a team that enjoys this type of work. We loved everything about it today.
"We have gone to St James' Park and now Luton in three days and it is great experience for these guys. They are going to get better. It is a game that deserved its place in the Premier League, with two teams who showed they will give everything this season.
"Lyle Foster coming back made a huge difference. The football we played in the first half was really good. We had some good moments. But at the moment we need a few chances to score. Second half was more character."
On Jacob Bruun Larsen's goal: "That is exactly why we got him. He used to be one of the young great talents in European football. We all have different journeys. He has struggled a lot. Today he showed a little glimpse of the potential he has."

Luton Town are still without a win at Kenilworth Road in the Premier League in three attempts (D1 L2). They are the first side to fail to win any of their first three home games in the competition since Blackpool in 2010.

Luton Town
Luton defender Reece Burke speaking to Premier League Productions: "We came out firing trying to get back in the game obviously the lads did really well we managed to get the equaliser but conceding then was disappointing to be fair.
"I probably should have got a little bit closer but the quality from him to put it into the top corner but overall disappointed."
On positives to take: "Obviously we are disappointed from today but we are team and we do bounce back.
"I’m looking forward to the weekend and as I say we need to make Kenilworth Road a difficult place to come.
"I’m really looking forward to the weekend.”

Lyle Foster bagged his third Premier League goal of the season for Burnley – he is only the fifth South African player to score three goals in a single season, after Philomen Masinga (1994-95), Shaun Bartlett (four times), Benni McCarthy (three times) and Steven Pienaar (three times).

Burnley
Burnley striker Lyle Foster, speaking to Premier League Productions: "I am happy we got the win today. It was a very tough game. A good first half from us and then Luton came out and put us under pressure. They got the goal that they wanted but I am just happy we got the win in the end. It was a brilliant goal from Jacob. Good to get out first win and we kick on from here.
"It was good from Sander [Berge]. I left it to him and he picked it up, played me in with a good pass and luckily I had one or two touches before being able to put it past the goalkeeper. I am happy for the goal but more importantly happy for the three points.
"We needed this. We have done well in the beginning of the season in tough games. We just needed this for confidence and for the weekend against Chelsea. Hopefully, we can step it up again and go into the break with momentum."
