    Stoke 1-0 Leeds

Alex Neil clapsImage source, PA Media

Alex Neil punches the air and embraces opposite number Daniel Farke before diving into celebrations with his Stoke backroom staff.

Big win for the Potters who go back-to-back. Deserved too.

Leeds disappointingly slip to defeat via an own-goal by Pascal Struijk.

Patrick Bamford's penalty miss was extremely costly. Would have put them in front, minutes later they were behind.

Pascal Struijk hammers a half-volley in the Stoke box, but it's blocked and away!

Leeds running out of time. Boy, he'd have loved to make amends then.

    Stoke 1-0 Leeds

Classic keeping the ball in the corner by Josh Laurent for Stoke. Leeds eventually snatch it off him but it's precious seconds chewed up...

    Stoke 1-0 Leeds

Stoke fans might be wondering how Alex Neil can harness this kind of performance on a weekly basis.

They've been brilliant at keeping Leeds at bay, and caused plenty of problems going forward.

That Pascal Struijk own-goal is the difference so far.

    Preston 2-2 Southampton

    Southampton celebrateImage source, Getty Images

    A wild finish at Deepdale.

In typical Southampton fashion, they left it late to score and get an equaliser, to take a share of the points.

Heartbreak for Preston who looked locked-on to claim all three points.

Preston remain fourth in the Championship and Southampton jump up to fifth.

  8. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:48 British Summer Time 25 October 2023

    Stoke 1-0 Leeds

Huge block by Ki-Jana Hoever to deny Crysencio Summerville.

Leeds moved the ball sharply into the box, Summerville played into Patrick Bamford who backheeled back to the Dutchman...

He's about the pull his leg back to shoot when his compatriot Hoever dives in and sneaks the ball away.

    Awesome effort.

    Birmingham 0-2 Hull

    Wayne RooneyImage source, PA Media

Smattering of boos for new Blues boss Wayne Rooney, as his first home game ends in defeat by Hull.

Birmingham were masters of their own downfall, handing Liam Delap a first-half gift, and then unable to stop Jaden Philogene from smashing a terrific second.

Wonderful performance and effort by Hull, who under Rooney's former assistant Liam Rosenior have won four away games now this season and are back on the winning trail.

    Bristol City 0-1 Ipswich

Three points in the bag for Ipswich who continue their chase of the Championship leaders Leicester.

Bristol City came so close to an equaliser through Harry Cornick in the second half but the defeat sees them slip to 13th in the table.

    Rotherham 2-0 Coventry

Rotherham come up with the goods and do enough to keep out Coventry for three precious points to claw them away from the wrong end of the table.

Lee Peltier's header and a late strike from Ollie Rathbone are enough for the Millers to take the spoils.

Coventry found Viktor Johansson in awesome form at times, denying several opportunities, and they were unable to keep goals out at the other end.

Stoke make Leeds pay for their inability to convert the penalty, as they go in front.

It was a curling corner from the left, up went Wesley to guide the ball toward goal but can only smack the crossbar.

The rebound strikes Pascal Struijk, who can do nothing about it as the ball bounces over the line and in.

Leeds' winning run under threat now.

    Stoke 0-0 Leeds

Pascal Struijk is in the right place at the right time for Leeds to hack clear, after Lynden Gooch prised his way into the box.

Low ball across the face of goal is belted clear, much to the visitors' relief.

  15. Wednesday fans do themselves proudpublished at 21:39 British Summer Time 25 October 2023

    Plymouth 3-0 Sheff Wed

    Brent Pilnick
    BBC Sport at Home Park

It's hammering it down with rain and they've got hundreds of miles to drive tonight, but fair play to the Wednesday fans.

They are signing their hearts out for their side as this game comes to a close.

They may be bottom of the table, but the 1,428 who made the trip to Plymouth today have done themselves proud.

Rotherham with a sharp intake of breath there. But their lead is still intact.
