    Stoke 0-0 Leeds

First real chance for Leeds, Georginio Rutter sliding a perfect pass into the path of Joel Piroe, as he travels into the box.

He takes his time and fires at goal but Stoke's Mark Travers saves with his feet.

Rutter then meets a corner with a header down and Travers is again alert to smother.

    Stoke 0-0 Leeds

    Another superb chance for Stoke.

Ki-Jana Hoever belts down the right, just keeps the ball in and fires a cross right into the middle of the box.

In comes Andre Vidigal, meets it flush but it's straight at Ilian Meslier.

  3. goal

GOAL: Preston 0-1 Southamptonpublished at 20:22 British Summer Time 25 October 2023

    Kyle Walker-Peters (33 mins)

That is a fantastic goal from Southampton's Kyle Walker-Peters.

He takes on his defender on the nearside edge of the area, does a couple of stepovers, drags the ball across to his left foot just inside the box and shoots from a tight angle.

His curling shot sails into the far corner of the net and Preston find themselves behind.

    Birmingham 0-1 Hull

Calamitous defending at the back, as Birmingham try to play out but are being picked off by Hull.

Really good work from Hull to close down, Jaden Philogene, ex-Aston Villa of course, almost punished his old side's rivals but his skittering low shot whistled wide of the right post.

Hull closer to doubling the lead than Blues are to levelling right now.

  5. Postpublished at 20:19 British Summer Time 25 October 2023

    Stoke 0-0 Leeds

Just saw a glimpse of the pace of Willy Gnonto, which will cause Stoke problems for Leeds.

However, he was just a bit too quick for all of his team-mates too. No-one was in support when the ball was squared and it slid across harmlessly.

  6. Postpublished at 20:15 British Summer Time 25 October 2023

    Birmingham 0-1 Hull

    How have Hull not scored?

Scott Twine darted into the box, but as John Ruddy came out to close him down he tumbled to the deck rather than getting a shot away and Blues hook it clear.

There was no contact. Liam Rosenior will think that was a chance gone begging.

Ruddy then makes a great save to deny Liam Delap, after a fierce effort.

  7. Postpublished at 20:13 British Summer Time 25 October 2023

    Stoke 0-0 Leeds

Stoke boss Alex Neil is in fairly frequent dialogue on the touchline, stalking his technical area and barking at fourth official Scott Oldham.

He's a ball of energy, tracky top open. Whistling and cajoling.

By contrast, Daniel Farke has hands tucked into his pockets, trying to keep warm by the looks of it. Much more reserved.

  8. CLOSE!published at 20:10 British Summer Time 25 October 2023

    Rotherham 0-0 Coventry

    Rotherham have a golden opportunity.

Lovely ball in from the left found Fred Onyedinma on the run, but his stooping header sailed wide of the left upright.

Coventry got a warning shot there.

    Birmingham 0-1 Hull

Fair play Birmingham, who have fought back and created chances following that Liam Delap opener.

Siriki Dembele yomped down the left, and his deflected looping cross was helped back into the mix by Oliver Burke from the opposite side.

In came Juninho Bacuna, but his sizzling effort zipped over the bar. Close.

  10. Postpublished at 20:06 British Summer Time 25 October 2023

    Stoke 0-0 Leeds

Early chance for Stoke, ball in front the right somehow found Leeds static at the back, and Andre Vidigal rather snatched at the chance, scuffing it simply through to Ilian Meslier.

If he'd taken his time, that could have been a huge start for the Potters.

Argyle may have had the best chance so far when Morgan Whittaker curled an effort off the outside of the post, but Sheffield Wednesday have been the side in control.

Danny Rohl's men have pressed well and had the better of possession - Josh Windass and John Buckley have gone close while Anthony Musaba got to the byeline and his teasing cross missed everyone with the goal gaping.

Can the Owls capitalise as they look to get off the bottom of the table?

  12. goal

GOAL: Bristol City 0-1 Ipswichpublished at 20:05 British Summer Time 25 October 2023

    Nathan Broadhead (16 mins)

An incredibly well-taken goal by Ipswich's Nathan Broadhead!

Collects the ball on the far side edge of the box, dribbles a little and gets a low strike off which bounces before the Bristol City keeper Max O'Leary and into the net.

Broadhead is now the Tractor Boys' leading scorer this season with six.

    Liam Delap (12 mins)

Nightmare start for Wayne Rooney and Birmingham in front of NFL legend Tom Brady.

He won't have been happy with the coverage (defence), as Alfie Jones' clearing header for Hull wasn't dealt with by Emmanuel Longelo, his backpass was short.

Liam Delap raced on to it, rounded John Ruddy and slotted it in. Cool as you like.

  15. Postpublished at 20:00 British Summer Time 25 October 2023

    Rotherham 0-0 Coventry

Coventry starting to impose themselves a bit more but have found the big 'Viking' Viktor Johansson in good form.

First Matty Godden was foiled, and then Josh Eccles having rapped one close.

Birmingham boss Wayne Rooney is wrapped up for the elements tonight, complete with his baseball cap which is becoming a bit of a trademark.

Not much by way of entertainment so far.

Hull are in cagey mode, not wanting to give anything away and the Blues feeling their way into this one too.

  17. Leeds marching on, Stoke yet to firepublished at 19:57 British Summer Time 25 October 2023

    Stoke v Leeds (20:00 BST)

Daniel Farke gives the Leeds fans a thumbs upImage source, Getty Images

With a hugely passionate fanbase and a 'big club' mentality comes plenty of pressure at Leeds United, though it looks like Daniel Farke has got to grips with it all now after three straight wins.

One defeat in seven - by an equally resurgent Southampton - has seen five wins in that run picked up as the Whites come to terms with the Championship and the goals are flowing from such attacking threats as Joel Piroe and Crysenscio Summerville.

Farke's last impressive result came at former club Norwich, something his Stoke counterpart Alex Neil enjoyed equally as his old employers Sunderland were beaten last time out.

It was a win that ended a run of back-to-back losses, albeit against leaders Leicester and the aforementioned Saints, and keeps the Potters away from the mire for now.

Tonight will need the Boothen End on song, not to mention the team, and a little bit more magic from the likes of Ryan Mmaee, Andre Vidigal and company.

  18. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 19:57 British Summer Time 25 October 2023

    Plymouth 0-0 Sheff Wed

Plymouth's Morgan Whittaker fires off a curling shot that rattles the woodwork.

Tremendous effort that just skims the outside of the post and Wednesday survive.

A bright start from the home side.

  19. Postpublished at 19:53 British Summer Time 25 October 2023

    Rotherham 0-0 Coventry

Rotherham, who were unable to fulfil their fixture last time out because of flooding and last played on 7 October, have started sharply tonight.

Cafu did a passable impersonation of his Brazilian namesake by teeing up Dexter Lembikisa with a low skidder which was saved by Coventry goalkeeper Ben Wilson.

Callum O'Hare by the way on the bench for the Sky Blues, after a long ACL knee injury lay-off. Terrific footballer, bucketloads of skill.

Off we go then in five of our six Championship games tonight.

The exception to that rule is Stoke's visit of Leeds to the Bet365 Stadium at 20:00 BST.

    Time to switch on.
