Regarding Southgate and the attacking play, you can't play like that for the whole game, players will be exhausted. Just ask the Dutch how many international trophies they won with their total football.

I think if I'm Gareth Southgate now, I'm getting Kalvin Phillips off before he gives the ref a reason to do the job for him.

This to me looks like a big suggestion that Marc Guehi is the next in line for those centre back roles.

If Stones or Maguire aren't fit then he will be the next one judging by that change.

It will be a feather in his cap that he has established himself there in the pecking order.

  6. YELLOW CARDpublished at 66 mins

    England 2-1 Italy

A yellow card for Giorgio Scalvini for something he has said.

You can see why too. Kalvin Phillips left a boot in late and caught one of his team-mates moment earlier.

The England man is on a yellow. He's got away with that.

As a Liverpool fan this pains me BUT Bellingham is the best midfielder in the world.

    James, Bedford

Am I allowed to alter my Ballon d'Or vote? Jude Bellingham it is! He has returned the charm of the good old beautiful game!!

    Opeyemi

N: Haven't seen a youngster live up to their hype quite like Jude Bellingham, in quite some time. He looks like he's got a Ballon D'or in him

G: Bellingham just gets better every single game, he's going to be unreal when he grows up!

There's a chance for the Italians, though.

That's certainly got the crowd off their seats! The whole stadium is on their feet applauding.

A lovely flicked ball from Foden into Bellingham, he strides through the Italian defence, lends it wide to Rashford, who then dribbles and lets fly.

The shot is so low it just whistles past Donnarumma into the bottom corner.

Take nothing away from the scorer - it was a fine cut inside and finish from Rashford - but Jude Bellingham! Take a bow, son.

That goal was all Jude Bellingham. He won a sliding tackle on the edge of his own box, then started the counter attack and passed the ball to Rashford who smashed it into the bottom corner. Lethal!

    BANG!

Scored by Marcus Rashford, made by Jude Bellingham. The Real Madrid midfielder wins a tackle in his own half and is then up to lead the charge forward via a neat touch. His pass hands over responsibility to Rashford, who cuts inside and then smashes a low shot into the bottom corner.

    Brilliant from England!

Chris, it's not about Southgate out it's just with the right players on the pitch this game is so winnable

    Steve

In reply to Chris 20.52 I think you'll find it's Southgate who has sapped the life, positivity and energy out of the players, hence why there's a Southgate out brigade

Kyle: Lot of negativity on here. England are in a great place. Look at the options we have going forward. Kane, Saka, Rushford, Foden, Bellingham, Grealish and Watkins. Also got Ivan Toney to come back. Some brilliant fullbacks to. We're in a real good place.
