  1. That's all from Wrexham

    FT: Wales 4-0 Gibraltar

So that's all from us after a successful night for Wales and Rob Page on their return to the Racecourse Ground.

The positives? A thumping win, several debuts and a really eye-catching performance from Charlie Savage.

The negatives? Wes Burns' serious-looking injury was the only one.

Thank you for following along with us, we will be back on Sunday for the Euro Qualifier against Croatia in Cardiff.

    Hopefully see you then.

    Dave Edwards

Former Wales Midfielder on BBC Radio Wales

We have had some big nights at the Cardiff City Stadium when it matters most and I think Sunday will be like that, they need to frustrate Croatia and get that goal, it will be huge and it just gives Wales that extra little bit of hope as they go in to those final games.

  3. Post update

    FT: Wales 4-0 Gibraltar

    Kath Morgan

Former Wales captain on BBC Radio Cymru

Wales will need the fans on Sunday, it's still in Wales' hands at home and they need to take responsibility as individuals.

If Wales are disciplined and move the ball quickly they can win the game.

  4. 'I was delighted to get another goal'

    FT: Wales 4-0 Gibraltar

Nathan Broadhead speaking to BBC Radio Wales: "I was delighted to get another goal for Wales, getting goals is what I want to do and I'm happy with it, at the time I didn't think it was a decent finish but I saw it go in to the top corner so I'm happy with it.

"I'm always confident going in to the game I want to score goals an create goals and I think that's the main thing.

"We are going to go to Croatia to try and win the game so we will see what happens. The lads know we need to get a result in that game and try our best to do that."

  5. Tonight was the perfect game for him'

    FT: Wales 4-0 Gibraltar

Robbie Savage to BBC Radio Wales: “For me to be here with his grandma and his family is amazing.

“He deserves it. League One is different but tonight was the perfect game for him, utilising his passing and he was magnificent.

“His grandma lives in Wrexham, I was brought up here and it’s the first time she’s really been out of the house because of Covid and a hip operation. His grandad would have loved to be here.

“The spotlight has been on him greater because he is my son and people have wanted him to fail.

“He’s humble and he’s been brought up in an affluent area and had a good education, but he’s humble and he’s dedicated.

“He doesn’t go out and he doesn’t drink, he’s a lovely, humble young man dedicated to the sport.”

  6. Post update

    FT: Wales 4-0 Gibraltar

Wales captain Ben Davies told S4C: "It was a good game from us, we've been ready for this game. It's easy with games like these to not do the easy things but we did that in the first half and won well.

"It was nice feeling to score and be captain it's always a proud moment and I always want to do that every chance I can.

"There was a chance for the young players to show what they could do against Gibraltar, they all did what they could do. The defence dealt with everything, Charlie Savage barely lost the ball and Liam Cullen played the perfect game.

"This gives us confidence for Croatia and I'm looking forward to that game."

  7. Kieffer on the up

    FT: Wales 4-0 Gibraltar

Kieffer Moore netted a brace for Wales tonight, taking his goal tally for his country to 12.

It means he is now the joint-14th highest scorer for Wales' men's side alongside Dai Astley and Ryan Giggs.

    Nathan Blake

Former Wales striker on BBC Radio Wales

Charlie Savage sat in the midfield and controlled things, he made some really intelligent runs and almost got himself on the score sheet.

I think it's been a great night all round, but its against the better opposition now, tonight was about getting the first cap and getting over the nerves the next step is coming up against an opponent who isn't going to give you that space or time.

  9. 'It really is a dream come true'

    FT: Wales 4-0 Gibraltar

Wales midfielder Charlie Savage on S4C: "What a night, I can't believe it really is a dream come true.

"The game plan was stick the ball on Kieffer Moore's head and I did, he grabbed two nice headers and could have had a hattrick.

"The keeper made a great save from me so I didn't get a goal but that'll come I'm sure."

    FT: Wales 4-0 Gibraltar

    Kath Morgan

Former Wales captain on BBC Radio Cymru

You're never going to perform at the same level for the two halves.

Wales had the perfect first half and Gibraltar did well in the second half by not giving Wales any space between the lines and won the second half in a way.

You have to praise Gibraltar for keeping it scoreless in the second half and Wales would have been focused on not getting any more injuries.

    FT: Wales 4-0 Gibraltar

    Dave Edwards

Former Wales midfielder on BBC Radio Wales

Charlie Savage was absolutely brilliant there is a lot of expectation on his shoulders, he didn't disappoint he grew in to the game and showed an array of different types of passing, I felt it was a very productive display from him.

    FT: Wales 4-0 Gibraltar

    Dave Edwards

Former Wales midfielder on BBC Radio Wales

Wales were very good in that first half, they moved the ball so quickly, played with intensity and blew them away and that is what set up the second half.

I think Rob Page will be absolutely delighted, the debutants all did really well, although he won't be happy with Wes Burns picking up that injury.

  13. Post update

    FT: Wales 4-0 Gibraltar

    Nathan Blake

Former Wales striker on BBC Radio Wales

Wales turned it in to an exhibition simply on their first half display, scored the goals, kept the ball, some brilliant performances from the debutants.

For Rob Page, the real positive is the debutants and getting your striker on and scoring a couple of goals.

It's been a great night all round.

  14. Wales' win in images

    FT: Wales 4-0 Gibraltar

All in all, a good night's work for Wales.

Here's a selection of the best images from the night in Wrexham.

    FT: Wales 4-0 Gibraltar

    Iwan Roberts

Former Wales striker on BBC Radio Cymru

The game was over at half-time and it's hard to raise your level in the second half when the game is over.

Gibraltar's goalkeeper has played well but for Rob Page it's been a successful night and he'll learn more from this than these players playing against each other behind closed doors in training, and it's been lovely to be back at the Racecourse.

  16. FULL-TIME

    Wales 4-0 Gibraltar

    That's it.

An emphatic and comfortable victory for Wales, who did all the damage before the interval.

An almost perfect night, apart from an injury to Wes Burns.

Stick with us and we will bring you some reaction.

    Wales 4-0 Gibraltar

    Iwan Roberts

Former Wales striker on BBC Radio Cymru

Tom Bradshaw has to go across the goal with that chance, Nathan Broadhead was waiting if he missed the goal.

There's not much to aim at there with the goalkeeper coming across his goal, he had plenty of time to pick his spot.

  18. Post update

    Wales 4-0 Gibraltar

    Kath Morgan

Former Wales captain on BBC Radio Cymru

The level of energy and the technical quality of these young players has been a positive.

I know the opposition aren't strong but we've still seen flashes of quality from these young players and hopefully in two or three years these players will be regularly fighting for places in the national team.

  19. Post update

    Wales 4-0 Gibraltar

Two minutes will be added on.

  20. Post update

    Wales 4-0 Gibraltar

I promised another Wales goal earlier and I may have over promised and under delivered, which is not what I was going for.

Gibraltar have been better organised this half and Wales have stepped off the gas with Croatia clearly at the forefront of their minds.
