Chelsea with a well-deserved lead at the break, through Sam Kerr's header.

It should be 2-0 though after Fran Kirby, impressing in her first start since her knee injury in February that kept her out of the World Cup, played a lovely through ball to fellow Lioness Lauren James, whose shot was superbly saved by goalkeeper Mackenzie Arnold.

West Ham have created chances, with Viviane Asseyi heading just wide just after Kerr's goal.

Chelsea heading top as it stands though.
