You'd love to have 10 Chiedozie Ogbene's on the team because you know exactly what you're going to get. He works his socks off, he plays in different positions. He was man-of-the-match the other night and he says that he thinks his mum is picking him but he's being picked on his performances because he was the key man that night and, yes, it wasn't the result we wanted but he was absolutely brilliant.

Plenty of enthusiasm from the travelling Irish support during their national anthem, there.

They look right up for this. No hint of a dead-rubber for them.

The game this evening takes place in a neutral venue, the Stadium Algarve in Faro, Portugal.

This is because Gibraltar's Victoria Stadium is under renovations to meet Uefa requirements.

The Stadium Algarve capacity of 30,305, with over 3,000 Irish fans expected to make the trip.

Gibraltar are ranked 198th in the world rankings and currently sit bottom of the Group B table, having conceded 17 goals in their five games so far.

They have lost all 43 of their World Cup and European qualifiers.

The Republic of Ireland have won their five matches against Gibraltar, which have all been European qualifiers, by an aggregate score of 17-0.

Bodes well for Stephen Kenny and his men tonight.

The Republic of Ireland's patience paid off as they beat Gibraltar in Dublin to get off the mark in Euro 2024 qualifying in June.

After being held in the first half, substitute Mikey Johnston broke the deadlock seven minutes after the break with his first international goal.

Brighton striker Evan Ferguson secured the success with a well-taken header just before the hour mark, with Adam Idah adding a late third in injury time.

France secured their place in Euro 2024 with two games to spare as they recorded their sixth consecutive Group B victory by beating the Netherlands on Friday.

The Republic of Ireland and Gibraltar are unable to qualify automatically for the tournament in Germany, with Greece and the Netherlands battling it out to secure the final automatic qualification spot.

Those two sides meet in Athens this evening. The Republic's slim chance of reaching the Euro 2024 play-offs are complicated but they will be impacted greatly by where the Netherlands finish in the group.

Stephen Kenny makes three changes to the side who lost 2-0 against Greece on Friday night.

Left-back Ryan Manning, who came on at half-time in Dublin against the Greeks, replaces Nathan Collins, with Liam Scales moving to centre-back.

Jamie McGrath comes in for Alan Browne whilst Mikey Johnston makes his first start for the Republic, in place of Will Smallbone.

Republic of Ireland boss Stephen Kenny aims to end a disappointing Euro 2024 qualifying campaign on a high, starting with a win over Gibraltar this evening.

Kenny has come under increasing pressure after Friday's home defeat by Greece ended hopes of automatically qualifying for the finals in Germany.

He declined to discuss his future after the disappointing 2-0 home defeat, which was the Republic's fifth in six Group B qualifiers.

"I am contracted to the end of the campaign so I just want to finish it strong," said Kenny on Sunday.
