Danny: Bag of nerves for tonight, but hoping the second half at LSV last week will be the blueprint. Our team was so settled and self-selecting last season, only debate was who plays right wing. This season with so many changes still figuring out our pattern of play. Really need Aoife Mannion back to come in at CB and free Maya Le Tissier to switch to RB and we'll have much better balance and width.

Man Utd have got some real quality but it hasn’t quite been the start to the season that they would have wanted.

They are still unbeaten but the one thing they have managed to do, having fallen behind in all four of their games this season in all competitions, they have managed to come from behind to avoid defeat in those games.

They are certainly a side that never give up. But a huge test tonight.

  12. 'We've got to be ready'published at 18:54 British Summer Time 18 October 2023

PSG v Man Utd (agg 1-1, 19:00 BST)

    Manchester United

Manchester United manager Marc Skinner speaking to MUTV: "I'm really looking forward to it. It's one of these games we all live for. This is why you want to be at Manchester United - for big games - we want many more to be come. This is just the start for us. We've got to be calm and calculated and ready for the occasion. We've got to be ready, you have no choice.

"We want to be ready, want to be at this level, so you've got to perform."

On bringing in Geyse and Melvine Malard: "Both of them are game winners. Melvine has already understood playing against the French teams so she brings a lot of experience. Geyse has the ability to win a game on her own so I'd be fearing her if I was PSG's back line.

"We've got to score in both legs if you want to go through. We've done it in leg one and now we've got to do it in leg two."

  13. Inside Man Utd's new £7m training facilitypublished at 18:52 British Summer Time 18 October 2023

PSG v Man Utd (agg: 1-1, 19:00 BST)

United have unveiled a new £7m women's training facility at their Carrington training ground.

The building includes gym and rehabilitation areas, changing rooms, kit and boot rooms, a women's first-team restaurant complete with a live cooking area, analysis and meeting rooms and a players' lounge.

It was claimed one of the reasons for Casey Stoney's decision to quit as United boss in 2021 was the inadequate facilities her side were given to train in.

Thankfully, the temporary buildings players were getting changed in and the marquee being used as a makeshift gym have gone. The facility is modern - and provides something akin to the male team, who train in another area of the same site.

Paris St-Germain and Manchester United are level heading into tonight's game after a 1-1 draw in the first leg at Leigh Sports Village.

PSG were on course for a win after Tabitha Chawinga's first-half opener but Melvine Malard came on as a substitute to level for United.

It's all to play for at Parc des Princes this evening as the two battle it out for a spot in the Champions League group stage.

Manchester United have drawn their last three games in all competitions after they were held by Leicester City in their last game.

Marc Skinner's side had to come back from behind as Maya Le Tissier's second-half equaliser continued the Reds' unbeaten start.

Paris St-Germain's game against Reims at the weekend was abandoned after fireworks were launched onto the pitch from outside of the stadium.

  17. 'Pressure on PSG'published at 18:46 British Summer Time 18 October 2023

PSG v Man Utd (agg: 1-1, 19:00 BST)

BBC commentator, speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live

This is huge for PSG. Two-time Champions League runners-up, they’ve not failed to reach the knockout stages in the last five years and to not make the group stage would almost be unthinkable for a club of that size.

There’s a lot of pressure on PSG. Of course the atmosphere at Parc des Princes will be raucous, it will be loud, they get really good backing when they play there.

That will be something Man Utd have to deal with. It would be a huge achievement if they were to get past PSG, but they’ve got the quality to do it.

Melvine Malard returns for Manchester United this evening after missing the weekend's draw with Leicester City.

She was rested on Sunday after recovering from a cold but is back in the starting lineup.

After scoring the equaliser in the first leg, could she be the difference-maker for United in Paris?

  20. 'We'll try to win for Gabby George'published at 18:41 British Summer Time 18 October 2023

PSG v Man Utd (agg: 1-1, 19:00 BST)

    Manchester United

Manchester United are without Gabby George after she suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury during Sunday's draw with Leicester City.

And United boss Marc Skinner hopes his side can find victory in Paris for George.

Skinner said: "It's obviously devastating news for her, but what I know about this club is we'll put the player at the centre of the medical attention she needs. She'll be loved, she'll have people around her, we'll make sure she rehabs and comes back stronger.

"When I spoke to Gabby, I said, 'look, if there's anything I can do for you', and she went, 'can you win in Paris?' And I was like, 'of course we'll try Gabby'.

"We're going to go as prepared as we possibly can do. We believe in ourselves and that's not an arrogance, that's a confidence borne from our performances. Even the game against Leicester, nine times out of 10 you win that game two or three nil. We've got to be more ruthless against PSG.

"It's going to be two real good teams going against each other. I think it will be a wonderful moment, I really want to win it for our fans because I'd love to give them a European tour."
