  1. Onwards to Denmark for Wales

    FT: Germany 5-1 Wales

That's a wrap for our coverage this evening.

Wales came into this game as rank outsiders and Germany underlined their superiority with a dominant display.

With the teams level at half-time, Wales would have been dreaming of claiming a famous draw.

But they unravelled in the second half to fall to a third defeat from three in their first Nations League campaign.

It doesn't get any easier with a trip to Denmark on Tuesday, and we'll have live coverage of that game too.

We hope you can join us for that one and, until then, thanks for joining us today. Nos da!

    Kath Morgan

Former Wales captain on BBC Radio Cymru

To be honest, this Germany team are just too good.

I said it in Qatar with the men's side, this is just where we are at the moment.

These women have given every single ounce of energy tonight, but we're just not good enough at this level.

Unfortunately we have to accept that now.

The problem we have is, the core of the team, Jess Fishlock, Sophie Ingle, how much longer are they going to play on?

  3. Post update

    FT: Germany 5-1 Wales

    Jo Price

Former Wales goalkeeper on BBC Radio Wales

    Wales will definitely be disappointed.

They'll go away and make sure they review every single aspect of this game.

  4. Post update

    FT: Germany 5-1 Wales

    Kath Morgan

Former Wales captain on BBC Radio Cymru

Ffion Morgan is ready to start an international game.

She brings rapid pace, she understands the attacking and defensive systems.

This game was crying out for Ffion Morgan at the start of the second half. I don't know what the women on the bench must be thinking.

    Jo Price

Former Wales goalkeeper on BBC Radio Wales

The emphasis on performances at a level like this, yes you want the team to get better, but it needs to be about scoring goals and getting results.

Look at the side tonight and you look at player management, you could see some tired legs out there at 60-70 minutes.

Maybe Gemma Grainger is a bit too reliant on the starting 11.

  6. Post update

    FT: Germany 5-1 Wales

    Kath Morgan

Former Wales captain on BBC Radio Cymru

The gap hasn't closed enough for Wales to believe they're good enough, at this moment.

The reality is, we've got 11 women that are strong and can compete.

After that we've got young girls who are young and aren't getting enough minutes or are playing in lower levels.

  7. Post update

    FT: Germany 5-1 Wales

    Katie Sherwood

Former Wales midfielder on Match of the Day Wales

I don't think the scoreline reflects the game.

We conceded two goals at the end there where we are trying to get back into the game and sometimes you just have to applaud the quality you are playing against.

First half we were on a high, but it's a disappointing end to the game and we have to try to pick ourselves up going into the Denmark game on Tuesday.

  8. Post update

    FT: Germany 5-1 Wales

    Jayne Ludlow

Former Wales manager on Match of the Day Wales

We're all a bit deflated because the first 45 minutes, going in 1-1 against a team of this calibre, was fantastic.

But the disappointing bit is there’s a trend to how we are conceding goals right now and we have to put that right.

Because if we do want to have a chance of qualifying in the next few years, which is the target, we have to keep clean sheets.

  9. Post update

    FT: Germany 5-1 Wales

    Kath Morgan

Former Wales captain on BBC Radio Cymru

I've been asked the question a lot.

Are Wales learning? No they're not. It's an awful afternoon.

Players won't sleep after this result, it's not a nice place to be.

  10. FULL-TIME - Germany 5-1 Wales

That's it. Germany are comprehensive winners.

Wales threatened to cause an upset as they went into half-time level with Germany but, in the end, it's been a chastening night for Gemma Grainger and her players.

  11. Post update

    Germany 5-1 Wales

    Jo Price

Former Wales goalkeeper on BBC Radio Wales

At this stage, with Wales's heads going down, why would Germany take their foot off the gas?

They're entertaining the crowd in the stadium this evening.

  12. Post update

    Germany 5-1 Wales

    Kath Morgan

Former Wales captain on BBC Radio Cymru

We look at the German bench and the impact they've had, and Gemma Grainger waits until the 85th minute to make his first sub.

    That tells the whole story.

  13. Post update

    Germany 5-1 Wales

We've played three minutes of added time and there are another three to come.

  14. Post update

    Germany 5-1 Wales

    Jo Price

Former Wales goalkeeper on BBC Radio Wales

Sophie Ingle, giving away that penalty, it just came at the wrong time.

It's a night that Mary McAteer will remember for her international debut, but a night for Wales that they'll want to forget.

  15. Post update

    Germany 5-1 Wales

Germany have now had 31 shots, 11 of which have been on target.

  16. Post update

    Germany 5-1 Wales

She may have conceded five goals but Wales goalkeeper Olivia Clark has had a fine game.

This time she stands up tall to save from Lea Schuller and deny the German her hat-trick.

  17. Post update

    Germany 5-1 Wales

    Kath Morgan

Former Wales captain on BBC Radio Cymru

I don't quite know what to say.

Once again, it's just too easy to beat a player in a red shirt.

  18. Post update

    Germany 5-1 Wales

Well, this has all unraveled quite quickly for Wales.

A draw would have ranked among their greatest results, but there is little doubt this score is a fair reflection of Germany's superiority.

  19. GOAL - Germany 5-1 Wales

    Nicole Anyomi

A third goal in eight minutes for Germany.

A cross from the left is lofted to the back post, and German substitute Nicole Anyomi bundles in just seconds after coming on.

  20. Post update

    Germany 4-1 Wales

    Jo Price

Former Wales goalkeeper on BBC Radio Wales

I'm just not sure why Gemma Grainger isn't utilising her subs sooner.
