Germany want a fourth and it would be no more than they deserve, as gallant as Wales have been.

Ceri Holland is down receiving treatment and you get the sense her Wales team-mates are happy to have a breather.

First of all, that's an incredible penalty.

Unfortunately for Wales, that's 3-1 and it's a big uphill climb for them to be able to come back now.

Surely a third German goal is just a matter of time.

They have yet another corner and their shot count is up to 25.

How have Germany not scored there?

    Wales were lucky there.

  12. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 76 mins

    Germany 2-1 Wales

Off the line! Germany are looking to put the game beyond doubt as they push for a third goal but, on this occasion, they're denied by a Hayley Ladd block on the line.

Then from the subsequent corner, Lea Schuller is inches away from scoring a hat-trick as her close-range shot hits the post.

Ffion Morgan or Carrie Jones should be on by now.

We have to think about Tuesday night too, the game against Denmark.

We're losing the game, give other people a chance.

They're definitely targeting Lily Woodham on the left side.

It's something that still needs to change.

    Germany 2-1 Wales

It's all getting a little scrappy as we approach the final 15 minutes.

You'd think that might suit Wales, who will hope to pinch at least another chance or two to have a chance of claiming a notable draw.

This is what we always talk about.

Playing against these top nations, Wales need to be more clinical because those chances don't come about often.

I'm not saying Wales deserve to equalise, but the German fans have just done "the wave" so for my money, they definitely deserve to concede.

    Bah and indeed, humbug.

    Chance for Wales!

Rhiannon Roberts crosses from the right and finds Hannah Cain, but she can't connect with her header.

A follow-up cross sails over to Kayleigh Green, but she heads wide.

    Some hope for Wales.
