Palace are playing some brilliant stuff.

Jean-Philippe Mateta and Michael Olise link-up on the left, it's played into the feet of Eberech Eze on the edge of the box and he spins before firing just wide.

I don't remember any Everton fans complaining when Keane played the full 90 and scored against Burnley. Number two on the rated players actually. Do they not understand that players and teams have good days and bad days?

Moussa Diaby again! He's leaning back too much as he scoops a shot over the bar - not for the first time in this game.

Palace are very comfortable at Selhurst Park. That third goal from Michael Olise has killed any momentum Brentford had. They have barely tested Dean Henderson since.

    Oh my!

Almost an absolute disaster for Wes Foderingham. He gets caught trying to play out from the back and Julian Alvarez's eyes light up as the keeper can't get it out of his feet in time. Alvarez connects with the ball but, luckily for the Blades keeper, it's over the bar.

    What was Foderingham thinking?

More chances for Aston Villa but once again they fail to put them away as Moussa Diaby puts his shot high of goal.

As long as Villa's lead is just the one goal then Burnley are still in this.

  10. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 16:32 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2023

    Wolves 3-0 Everton

Hwang Hee-chan is just offside as he bends his run, is played in one-on-one with Jordan Pickford and slots it past him.

There's a quick check but the decision stands. No goal.

They are taking advantage of the extra man.

It was a really good run. A little give and go, and cuts it back and Jacob Ramsey should be hitting the target there.

You get the sense that Villa can see more goals in this one.

Dyche wants sacking for playing Keane. This happens almost every time. I get his loyalty to Keane but he is just not up to scratch. I don't know any supporter who feels reassured when he is on the pitch.
